bethany wasn't exactly pleased. she had grown up being able to whatever she wanted whenever she wanted to do it, and now that freedom had been snatched away from her. she hadn't been grounded, not by a long shot, but it certainly felt that way to her. the adults of the dalton family had made the decision that all of the children would be going to hogwarts. perhaps it was a little late to be starting in april, which when included meant only about four months there for beth and josh. it seemed pointless. even so, the teachers there would probably be a lot better than the boring tutor they had right now. her parents, her aunt and her uncle, and a few of her siblings and cousins had gone to diagon alley to get all of the various supplies that the eight children would need by tomorrow morning, when they were due to begin at the school. some of them had stayed at the manor however, bethany included. now she stood in her bedroom, staring out of the large window that overlooked a part of the estate, as well as hogwarts in the not-so-far-away distance. whether or not she would be would be pleased to be able to see her house from one of the towers when she was forced to attend classes and the likes, she couldn't say. it would be good to know that home wasn't far away, but she'd probably feel a little homesick too. at least she'd have all of her family there with her.

WELL GO GET YOUR SHOVEL A N D W E ' L L D I G A D E E P H O L E TO BURY THE CASTLE, BURY THE CASTLE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Josh couldn't believe that his parents were doing this. What was the point? There were four months in school for him and Beth and then that would be it! What was the point in that? It sounded like a waste of time and effort to him, but hey, at least it meant that they could get out of the house and experience something new! That was always Josh, looking for the bright side! He knew that a few of his siblings wouldn't see the bright side though, so it was left to him to show them it. He decided after he'd finished packing some stuff in a trunk, that he'd go and see Beth, see how she was coping. Something told Josh that she didn't like the idea, and okay, so none of them did, but he'd need to show Beth the brightside! Bethany was his twin sister, though they were non-identical and looked nothing alike.
Beth was blonde, for instance, and Josh had brown hair. That was why when they told people they were twins, they wouldn't believe them. Not that they talked to people who didn't know that they were twins often anyway. Their parents preffered that they hang out with people in the family, as their parents were proud pure bloods, and didn't want their kids to mix with the wrong sort. That was why this whole move to Hogwarts shocked Josh, as he didn't expect their parents to like the idea! Josh walked into Beth's room and surveyed her, she was looking out of her bedroom window and at Hogwarts, which was barely visible from her room. "Cheer up sis, it's only four months. And besides, think about what havoc we can wreak in the castle! They won't be expecting us!" He said with a smile, standing next to her and taking in the view. The view from their estate had always took his breath away, and he'd found himself looking out of the windows a lot and drifting off into his thoughts. He thought about what he had to pack, and what they had to buy to ready them for their schooling. He didn’t like the idea of homework though, so he wasn’t looking forward to that, but he supposed that lessons would be interesting. He didn’t like the idea of getting up early for them either, and he was willing to bet that he’d be late a few times whilst he was just getting used to it! And by the time he did get used to it, he’d be leaving! He really didn’t get the point of four months, how much could they learn? But hell, he was willing to try a new experience anyway! And he was going to have as much fun there as he could![/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

It was a weird feeling, to be be told that you and your entire life so far were about to be displaced. In those few moments, her world seemed to have been turned upside down. She couldn't understand it still. Why bother to drastically change everything when she was so close to finishing her school life? It seemed so pointless, although it wasn't as bad as it seemed to some of her other close family. Her eldest cousins were the most upset, if that was the correct word for it, by her reckoning. She figured that she would be fine, once she had some more time to think it through and get over the earlier shock revelation. Perhaps it wouldn't even be that bad. Having learnt from experience that things would be far easier if she could teach herself to accept it, she was employing this valuable technique already. If she said it to herself enough times, well, Merlin only knew. She might even begin to believe it.
Having been told that her parents would accept no further argument to their decision, she couldn't help but stifle a giggle at this sentence. Did they remember, when saying this, that they were dealing with a girl who was almost world renowned for arguing? They might be able to quieten the rest of the seven children, but somehow Evie couldn't help but think they had foolishly overlooked her oldest female cousin's response on such matters. She had chosen to remain silent, however, mostly because at that particular moment, she really couldn't think of anything to say. Her mouth had been drawn agape by the four adults' statements. So, there had been little protest. At least by her. She'd walked out of the room shortly afterward, leaving the thunderous outrage of the rest of the seven to unfold. As to what happened after that, she had no idea, but judging by the expressions of the others, she guessed it wasn't all civil with niceties, like the adults might have desired. But then, if they had thought such a announcement could be made, without certain repercussions, they were being incredibly stupid.
Now having been forced to start preparations for their upcoming school year, the young girl had started to move stuff around, without much effort or enthusiasm. But, it was something. Probably more than her siblings had attempted. Normally, she would have said something, or simply refused to do anything to comply with their wishes. But today, their surprise seemed to have knocked the fight out of her voice, at least for now. Grabbing various books and scriptures from her room, she walked across the hallway, linking many of the cousins' and siblings' rooms together. Of course, being the graceful and careful girl that she was, it wasn't long before she found herself awkwardly sprawled across the doorway of a bedroom. The crashing noise as the books fell around her still echoing in her head, she blushed, the red tinge reaching almost every area of her face, as she leaned down to pick the assorted items up.

beth let out a heavy sigh and turned away from the window, figuring she should probably get started on packing her trunk. why she was actively agreeing to her parents' rather random decision was unbeknown to the young woman. her brother soon entered the room, and it was obvious from the expression on her face that she wasn't looking forward to going to hogwarts. she did smile however as he told her to cheer up. if there was anybody that knew her, it was her family, especially josh. "malfoy's probably told them all by now. 'be nice to the new kids, they'll probably be very nervous for a few days so try and help them out.' yeah right, as if we need help," she replied, her typical sarcasm seeping through. wreaking havoc in the castle didn't sound like such a bad idea though. nobody would be stupid enough to pick on any of them, but they'd have seven more of them to deal with if they were dumb enough to do so, and that was before their parents had gotten involved. bethany started plucking things off of her shelves that she felt she would need. she placed a pile of books beside the door, before pulling a pile of parchment from the drawer of her desk and putting it on top of the books. clothes would definitely be an issue. even though they would be forced into wearing a uniform, she wouldn't be wearing it between classes, and she needed plenty of variety to choose from when she arrived there. they would wait until later however, right now she couldn't be bothered to get anything else ready. a loud thud made her jump, a gasp escaping her lips and her hand flying to her chest. "bloody hell evie, you scared the hell out of me!" she said to her cousin, who was now picking up the books and other assorted items that been dispersed upon her fall. beth picked her wand up from her bedside table and waved it in their direction, the books gathering together again and stacking up against the wall.

WELL GO GET YOUR SHOVEL A N D W E ' L L D I G A D E E P H O L E TO BURY THE CASTLE, BURY THE CASTLE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Josh saw the look on his sisters face, it was clear that she wasn't happy about the whole Hogwarts thing. Okay so neither was Josh, nor any of the other family members no doubt, as it meant being uprooted and moved to somewhere different, where they didn't know their way around or anything! it wasn't a great thing, but at least it was a new place for them to find out about. They could try and find secret passages and talk to the ghosts and they could even break some of the rules! Josh had heard that the forest there was forbidden, so it was just calling him to visit it! josh was a bit of a rebel child, and he liked breaking rules, as it was such a thrill! Danger was pretty awesome too, as it got the adrenaline pumping and your brain working to get yourself out of the situation! He loved exciting stuff like that. "Yeah, they may as well have painted a sign saying 'beware, new kids' and hung it around her neck. At least we'll have someone to talk to though I suppose. And new places! There will be loads of interesting things to do there, surely!" He said, trying to convince himself a little bit more, as well as his sister. Sure, he was pretty sure that it would be interesting, new places and new faces always were, but at the same time, he liked the current arrangement! "They'll be the ones who need help when we're done! I'm talking St Mungo's help!" he joked, making the reference that they probably would drive the teachers and students of Hogwarts crazy! Josh watched as she started to pick stuff from her shelves. She seemed reluctant, though he’d expected her to be. She really didn’t seem to like this idea. He didn’t like the idea of uniform, or essays. Uniform was regimental and constricting and he didn’t like it one bit! He knew that it was required however, and he disliked that even more. He wished he could wear his normal clothes, as they were much more comfortable! He’d usually be set in a pair of jeans and a nice t-shirt, or a comfortable shirt at that. He liked looking smart and as long as he did look decent and was comfortable then he was happy, but he didn’t think robes suited him, and he doubted that they were that comfortable. He couldn’t get used to that idea at all. He’d miss the house elves doing what he wanted too! It would be so different at the castle! Josh jumped a little and his head swung in the direction of the crash that resounded in his ears for a moment. ”Merlin Eve’ be careful! Nearly gave me a heard attack!” He said overdramatically. It wasn’t that scary, just unexpected. He watched with a smile as Beth stacked the books using her magic. It was mighty handy being able to do magic at home! ”There, your wandwork is awesome, they’ll love you at Hogwarts Beth! I just hope that the Charms teacher is a patient one!” He joked, referring to the fact that Charms usually took him longer to get right.[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Realising her mistake at that very moment, she glanced down at the numerous books, attempting to prevent herself from making eye contact with her two cousins, at least until the redness of her face had diminished a little bit more. It was bad enough having to cope with how clumsy she was, let alone admit this by looking up into the faces of the people she'd probably nearly killed with her accident. As was usual when she fell over, or smashed some important belonging, she panicked, and found herself unable to think straight. Hence, why when she started to fix her mistakes, she resorted to using her hands, rather than even thinking about magic. Of course, if she had been thinking properly, she would have remembered that it wasn't even possible for her use magic to solve any of her problems, as she wasn't of age yet. This rule seemed all the more ridiculous to her, when one considered that all she had to do to perform magic legally was to run down the road. Not that any of this mattered, all that was rushing through her head at that moment (and shortly after) was a variety of colourful swear words.
Nothing seemed to be going right for her today. Biting her lower lip, she was forced to glance upwards at least once, when she noticed that the other girl in their company had assisted her. Grasping the remainder of the books and parchment that she already had collected in her hands, she stood up, giving both of the other teenagers a painful expression, as though the results of her fall was physically draining her. Clutching the books to her chest, she continued to bite her lip, leaving a deeper impression, as she struggled to explain her behaviour. Not that she really needed to. Her cousins were probably all too well accustomed to her crashing around the house by now. "Thanks Beth,"
she managed eventually. "And yes, Josh, I'm sorry. Guess I'm just stressed, given everything's that's happened today." It was a viable excuse, not completely true. But, she could see that it was an excuse that might be acceptable, by their standards. "It's stupid," she said suddenly, stating what she truly thought. She could see, even through her furious blushing, that neither of them were particularly pleased about the proposed action plan. [/blockquote][/blockquote] TAGGED|| bethany and joshua dalton. bethany did allow a laugh as joshua suggested hanging signs around their neck. what she really hated about josh right now was that he was starting convince her that perhaps going to hogwarts wasn't so bad at all. there were lots of other people to mix with, as well as loads of people to explore. since they were only going to be there for a few months, it didn't really matter if they broke the rules and carried on doing what they wanted to do. the worst they could do was expel them, in which case they'd actually be doing them a favour. "trust me, any mudblood that so much as thinks about speaking to me will find themself in st. mungo's, and that includes the headmistress. what was mcgonagall thinking, making her the head? it's a good job we got put in slytherin, there's a better chance we'll just have pureblood company," she said to her brother, before releasing another sigh. beth resisted the urge to laugh at evelyn's clumsiness, but she knew that as her cousin, she shouldn't. things were bad enough for them all as it was, and the other girl was clearly aware of that. "tell me about it," she said, before moving over to her bed and sitting down on the end of it. "we'll be sleeping in the dungeons for crying out loud," bethany complained to her brother. evelyn was lucky that the gryffindor dormitories were up in a tower, but they'd probably be rather cold as well. it seemed only the hufflepuffs had a decent sleeping arrangement.

WELL GO GET YOUR SHOVEL A N D W E ' L L D I G A D E E P H O L E TO BURY THE CASTLE, BURY THE CASTLE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Josh laughed at the thought of a mudblood speaking to his sister. She would not take it well at all! Josh was just glad that she too had the sense that mudbloods for company were not a good thing, as he'd probably have to try and convince her that mudbloods were bad if she actually liked them, and that would be a long and though task, and he really wouldn't have been bothered to do it! "It beats me. I have no clue what McGonagall was thinking! It is ridiculous to think that a mudblood will have any clue how to run a magical school! Hogwarts has gone to the dogs!" He said, rather offhandedly, as he usually just threw out his opinions and didn't care who agreed or who didn't. Although in this house, people tended to agree more than disagree, so he never had to watch his mouth. And he didn't intend to watch it in school either, as he didn't care what people thought, that was his opinion and if they didn't like it then he could care less! "Yes, I hear that there are many a family that must be of full pure blood, and no doubt that their children are in Slytherin. It is the purest house, after all" He said to his sister with a shrug, repulsed at the idea that the Malfoy boy had chosen the mudblood to carry his children. He just hoped that his kids followed after Draco and not after their mother. "And don't worry, any mudblood touches you and they'll have me to watch out for. Especially if they are male" He said with a frown. He was pretty protective over Beth, as she was his twin! She was like the other half of him, although he knew that he didn't need to protect her, she could hold her own pretty well. Joshua resisted the urge to laugh at his cousins clumsiness, but he knew it was inappropriate as she was family. And besides, it was to be expected now anway, as she was a clumsy girl. He'd become used to things falling when she was around, because she'd usually knock them off accidentally and such. It wasn't her fault though. "Stupid isn't the word! I really don't see the point, what's four months going to change? We may as well stay here and carry on as we would! But no, they won't have that! And I hear the dungeons are colder than all the other dormitories!" He complained to his sister, remembering that he would have to sleep in the cold dungeons. It was stupid. "But just as I was saying to Beth, at least it's a new place, with some new experiences" Josh said with a shrug, again looking on the Brightside. Still clutching the books tightly, she pouted slightly at the twins’ line of argument. Ordinarily she knew them both well enough to avoid getting into disagreements with either of them, but when they started bitching about their situation, she felt a need to make her input heard. Against her better judgement, she raised an eyebrow at their laughter and dismissal of most of the student and adult population at Hogwarts. “Well...”
she said very slowly, as though seriously considering the line of argument, as though considering the statement to be a logical or reasonable one, “I don’t think they’re all that bad..” Already, a small amount of regret creept into her throat, leaving her a little bit more careful about how she phrased the rest of her response. To say anything else, without the proper phrasing or consideration, could leave her more than a little bit on the outside of this close family unit. Truthfully, she really didn’t imagine muggleborns or half-bloods to be that much different from families like themselves, but she would never have normally stated it as bluntly as she had just done. She gave a small smile, as she watched Josh’s overprotective side come out, at the mention of boys hanging around her cousin. It was a nice, but pointless idea, much like the one about them moving to the castle for the remainder of their school lives. Anyone who had ever met Bethany knew that she was perfectly capable of dealing with people who annoyed her. Perhaps even a little too capable. Without thinking she returned to finish her original point, “And I seriously doubt that Hogwarts is that bad either, Hermione Malfoy is a talented witch, you can’t deny that, even if she is..” she paused, despite not wanting to hesitate over the word which was so commonly thrown around this house, “..a mudblood.” Her own personal feelings about the word well hidden, she brushed her hair out of her eyes, as she turned her attention back to the other two people in the room, “And even if it is terrible, you’ll have the comfort of knowing you only have to deal with it for four months. That’s got to be something. The rest of us won’t be that fortunate.” Sighing, she nodded at the boy’s claims. “I don’t know why you’re complaining. I’d love to be situated in the dungeons. There’s got to be less than ten important items in that place. Less chance of anyone noticing my clumsiness. Merlin knows how many things I’ll manage to break or knock over in one of those towers.” She frowned, it was only a matter of time before everyone in that house knew about her unfortunate tendencies. That could only make things worse, if that was actually possible. “Besides, I have to deal with other people from other backgrounds. You get the lovely purebloods, like yourselves. Not to mention that you have each other. How am I supposed to survive in that kind of environment? I barely manage to walk in a straight line while I’m here. Don’t start moaning that you’ve got the worst deal!” [/blockquote][/blockquote] TAGGED|| bethany and joshua dalton. NOTES|| none to mention, WORDS|| five-two-five. "she has got a point josh. it hasn't fallen apart just yet, and there hasn't been anything in the prophet about death eaters invading or something crazy like that," she said. her cousin always had been able to step back a bit from the picture their parents had painted for them enough to see what it was really like. in fact, it was rather unfair of her to speak of mudbloods like something she'd get a house elf to scrape from the bottom of her shoe, especially considering that she hadn't so much as seen a muggle born in her entire life, let alone speak to one. her parents had fed her their opinions, probably exagerated slightly to make them sound all the more pathetic, and the result had been her despising something she had never encountered. perhaps hogwarts would allow her to change in that sense, but she'd need to adjust to the new environment before she thought about that. beth suddenly felt rather fortunate that she only had to go there for a short while, but the younger of the children would be there for a few years after the twins had left. not to mention that some of them, evelyn included, would have to make brand new friends pretty quickly because their siblings and cousins were in other houses. come to think of it, she'd been rather self-centered about the whole thing, only thinking about how bad it would be for her and forgetting about how everyone else would feel about the whole decision. in fact, she'd got off rather lightly. "you'll be fine evie. if they know who you are, which they probably should do, they'll think twice about laughing or even acknowledging you ever tripped or whatever," bethany tried to assure her cousin, though she wasn't completely convinced herself, so it was doubtful that evelyn would find it very helpful.

WELL GO GET YOUR SHOVEL A N D W E ' L L D I G A D E E P H O L E TO BURY THE CASTLE, BURY THE CASTLE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Josh listened to Evie's opinion. She had a point, it was still standing, although god knew for how long after the Dalton's arrived. They tended to wreak havoc in their own house, and that was just a big manor house, so who knew what kind of trouble they could get up to in the castle? There were tapestries and suits of armour, and plus they would be learning new charms to mess around with things! "Yeah, but I suppose that the true test will be if she will be able to handle us there. We almost burned down this place, so what can we do in a castle?"
Josh said with a smirk, imagining all the trouble that they would be able to get into, and have to talk themselves out of. Josh liked trouble. No, that was the wrong way to describe it. He liked the risks, and the excitement of breaking the rules, and he liked talking himself out of trouble. And he'd gotten pretty good at that, the ammount of times that he'd done something and someone had tried to discipline him. No one could discipline this family, and he had no clue how the headmistress and the other teachers would fare, but he was willing to bet that she would find it hard to cope. Especially seeing as there were so many of them! Josh's idea of mudbloods had been practically force fed to him by his parents, though they had never let him actually meet one, so he never really knew what was true or not. So maybe he shouldn't have spoken so harshly about something he didn't understand. but then it was the way that the family worked, and what he'd had drummed into him, so it was hard to change what he believed, though maybe at Hogwarts there would be a mudblood that would help change his perspective, although they would have a huge task if they tried! Evie had a point, it was only four months and then they were out of there! And she had got the worse deal, as she was the only one in Gryffindor, and so she didn't have any of the family in her house. Who was she supposed to talk to? And she had to try and watch out for the mudbloods and the half bloods, which was something that Josh didn't have to do, as Slytherin were mostly pure blooded, thank Merlin. "Chill, Evie, Beth's right, people know us. They know who we are and they know not to mess with us, so if you do trip over or something, I'm sure people will pretend not to have seen. And if anyone laughs at you, just tell me, and then we'll see who's laughing. We may have been home tutored but I am a dab hand at transfiguration. Maybe we'll turn them into something interesting, a goblet, or a ferret. Your choice." He said with a smirk, runnng his hand through his long brown hair. He couldn't wait to explore the castle and the grounds though, he would admit that, as it had to be more dangerous than this place. And he'd pretty much learned every inch of their mansion by the age of thirteen, so he'd got quite bored of it. [/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Despite their differences, which occasionally seemed to stretch across universes, it was always comforting to know that her family would have her back in each and every situation. Like they had both just stated, they’d be there for her, despite the differences in age, house, clothing, favourite foods or whatever else. And she couldn’t deny that them both confirming this was still as reassuring a thought as when they had first said it, so many years ago. It was true what most people said, family was important and so was their support. Particularly when it had already been revealed to her that she was to be the only of the Daltons to be placed in the lion house, it was true, she’d need all the friends and encouragement she could get. It wasn’t going to be at all easy settling into a place like Hogwarts, especially now that their parents seemed it necessary for her to spend most of her next two years on her own, in order to get some second-rate schooling.
If she had been in a better mood, she might have admitted to herself and the others, that the castle itself didn’t seem that bad. In fact, hadn’t she just tried to convince her cousins of that very same fact, only a few minutes ago? “Let’s be frank,”
she pouted, glancing at her smirking cousins, “Not many people can handle either of you. The establishment won’t know what’s hit it. I give it all of three days before they’ll be begging the parents to take us back...” The latter thought spoken aloud, it didn’t sound like such a bad idea. If Josh and Beth’s plans to cause as much havoc as possible were successful, surely they wouldn’t be that restricted for long? The more she thought about the possibilities of having her freedom returned to her, the more their original plans appealed to her. These thoughts hitting the back of her head, a small grin settled upon her pale features. “People might know us, but I think you’re imagining a whole new fantasy world. I know you’re both used to untold luxury, and that you were probably looking forward to people bowing down before your feet, but something tells me Hogwarts won’t be following that particular route.” She held out a small piece of ruffled parchment, pulling it from the inside of the book on top of the small pile she had been carrying, “I mean, have you seen what time these people get up!” she exclaimed, rather indignantly. “It’s unearthly.” She wasn’t a fan of early mornings, and Hogwarts disagreed with her mentality for this very reason. She couldn’t really comprehend why these students would agree to such a strict daily schedule. Those obedient Gryffindors would probably faint or something when she turned up late to lessons, or whatever. But then, like the twins had said, they might be expecting it, what with the Daltons being somewhat of an infamous family group. Yet, she seriously doubted that any of them would expect a fellow Gryffindor to act the way she intended to. But hey, she figured if this were all happening, she’d make the most of it. There was no way she was complying to the stupidity of those below-average students![/blockquote][/blockquote] TAGGED|| bethany and joshua dalton. Hold your head high heavy heart. So take a chance and make it big. Arthur Had actually just finished packing, he had nothing else to do so he figured he may as well get it out of the way, although his kind of packing is taking arm fulls of stuff and throwing it into the suitcase and if its too big to close you jump up and down until it closes. He then sat there in a room that didn't seem his anymore I'll miss you room he thought to himself standing up and heading out into the hallways to try and search for his cousins or siblings. A Large bang gave away where Evelyn was or at least he figured it was her as she seemed to be the clumsiest of them all.
It took him a while to find the room the bang had come from as it seemed to echo and he got confused fairly a lot but after a while he could hear speaking through a door. Lets see who made the mysterious boom noise he thought with a smile and he stepped into the room to see the twins and as he had predicted Evelyn. B-I-N-G-O and bingo was his name oh! he thought as he saw her. He walked in and plonked himself down on the bed without a word. He figured they would just ignore him and continue there conversation until they had finished, they they would acknowledge him.
That or they would just stop the conversation and start a new one .. or fill him in on whats happened. There probably talking about Hogwarts he thought to himself as he swung his legs back and forth from where he sat. He was the youngest there and he was sorted into hufflepuff so he kind of felt odd although his sis had been sorted into Gryffindor so she probably felt extremely odd.. Cause it’s the last you’ll ever get. If we don’t take it, when will we make it?

"oh, there are plenty of things we can do, and mark my words; i will not leave that castle without causing havoc. malfoy won't know what's hit her," beth said with a grin, casting another glance from the end of her bed out of the window and at the castle. she could almost imagine the headmistress staring at the house from her office window, regretting ever agreeing to take the eight children into the school, whilst running around biting her nails in fear. "you think it'll take three days? give me two and i'll have a teacher running from the classroom screaming," bethany replied to her cousin with a large grin spread across her face. evelyn made another very valid point. they were being a little egotistical to think that everybody would just move to one side as they walked down the corridor. nobody got that kind of reception at hogwarts. not the malfoys, not the notts, not the zabinis, and neither would the daltons. "it'll be interested to see how many qualifications they have at the end of it. how on earth are you meant to concentrate when you get up so early?" beth said as an expansion on evie's statement. arthur soon entered the room, probably having heard the crash from the other side of the house. it was likely he'd known that his elder sister had been the cause of it, but bethany had a habit of throwing things across her room when she was annoyed. he never said much when they were complaining about going to hogwarts, which made her wonder whether he was actually looking forward to it, though that was understandable. he was a bit of a freak anyway, but nobody outside of their family would be able to get away with saying that without finding a good few wands at their throat.

WELL GO GET YOUR SHOVEL A N D W E ' L L D I G A D E E P H O L E TO BURY THE CASTLE, BURY THE CASTLE - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Josh smirked at his sisters comment, loving the way that she and he thought along the same lines. It was probably something to do with the fact that they were twins, but they did get on really well, so maybe that bond helped. "Nice plan, my sister! I like the way you think, you know that?"
Josh said with a smirk, imagining the headmistress practically pulling her hair out with regret that she'd ever accepted the eight children into the school! It was a mistake on her part, as it sounded as if they were all basically planning to break as many rules as possible! He was going to try and break the record of the most rules broken in four months without being expelled! It would be amusing to see if he could do it, and he'd do what he could to make sure he avoided detention too, as being locked in the same room writing lines was not his ideal situation. He'd just blame it on someone else. He knew that they were being naive in thinking that everyone would just drop everything to get out of their way, as he doubted that the Malfoy's got that sort of reception, so the Dalton's were even less likely to get it. Although, if they scared people enough, maybe they would earn that reaction. he'd have to aim for that, too. He was making a mental list of things he could do to disrupt order at Hogwarts! It would amuse him to see what the whole family could pull off. Maybe they could co-ordinate with something huge just before he and Beth left the school. That would just be the best! As together they could make eight times the amount of chaos than alone! "You have a point there, Evie. But I reckon that two days would be ample time to drive a few people crazy" He joked, knowing that they probably could do it in two days if they really tried. Evie brought up the point of sleep and the time that students at Hogwarts woke up. This was one of the things that had bothered Josh the most, as he was used to getting up whenever he wanted, so having to wake up before a certain time would be hard to do. "Tell me about it, I bet that they get the lowest qualification possible, or an exceeds expectations if they really try." He said with a sigh, trying to imagine himself getting up early, and failing miserably. He noticed Arthur walk in and flop down on the bed. "Hey Arthur, what do you think? Reckon that you can wake up before mid-day?" Josh joked, deciding to include his, albeit odd, cousin in the conversation. He'd not really expressed an opinion on the whole idea in front of Josh, and he wondered if he was actually looking forward to it. He was a bit odd mind, although no one outside of the family could say that and get away with it.[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
