I'm not saying it was your fault.
Although you could have done more Arthur smiled as she laughed he liked the sound of her laughter a lot and he was sure she wasn't laughing at him but more 'with him' as he was trying to make her laugh and smile. "well I'm sure you can teach me" he joked then smirked as she tried to get the last word in "Sure you could beat me in a duel.. if i let you win" he said not letting her have the last word.
"Of course you'd win.. your beautiful" he told her then paused a moment before giving her a wink then joking "Told you I'm charming" although he had to admit she was good looking and he had noticed that fairly early in the conversation but it just wasn't the kind of thing you told someone you just met, or at least he didn't think it was.. he wasn't too sure how far you could push stuff before a friendship got weird, he was knew to the entire speaking to new people thing.
Arthur then heard her laugh again which brought a smile to his face. "Exhausted yourself?" he asked with a smirk when she had finished laughing. When she mentioned the way he is he paused a moment "and by that you mean the weird new kid that speaks to himself?" he asked curiously, he didn't mean to sound rude or anything he'd just like to know how exactly he was seen as by other people who didn't realy know him. "Oh and none taken" he quickly added. "Pretty much everyone hates the living daylights out of this place" he told her with a small shrug. Oh your so naive yet so.. "I probably could," she began, "I have a very good evil laugh. It would come in handy when I rule the world," she told him, smirking slightly, "It would help tons with the whole intimidation I would have to do. Scare them half to death. Then they'll be a follower," she added, chuckling at the thought, "Oh, please, if we ever do happen to duel, don't go easy on me. I want to beat you fair and square,"
At those words, a blush crept across Samantha's cheek and she mentally slapped herself. She hated it when she blushed. She felt like it was some type of weakness. She didn't like showing people that they had some type of effect on her, "Well of course I am, but thanks for stating the obvious," she told him cockily, the smirk returning to her lips. She rolled her eyes at his remark on being charming, but decided not to agree or disagree.
"I don't really laugh that much.. ever," she told him truthfully. She smiled slightly, nodding as she did so, "Yeah, pretty much," she admitted, "Like I said before, it's not a bad thing. Just makes you unique, in a good way," she added quickly, hoping she hadn't offended him. Even though he had said no offense was taken, she could never be too sure, "Wow, really? How come? I mean, they have never really been here before. Have they heard bad things about it or something? Or do they just hate the fact that their lifestyle is going to change dramatically?" she asked Arthur curiously.

Although you could have done more "Well i look forward to hearing it" he said with a small smile, he couldn't realy image her doing a full out evil laugh, although that could be because he had heard her normal laugh. "I don't think I'd ever want to duel you anyway" he admitted, he just liked being equal with her but if he beat her in a duel or she beat him then one would probably class themselves as slightly better, even if they didn't mean to.
Arthur smiled as she blushed, he thought it suited her but he didn't want to embarrass her so he didn't mention her blushing at all. "I bet you get boys doing that yawn thing all the time on you" he joked stretching his arms above his head then letting one fall to his side and the other fall around Sam if just to show what he meant when he said 'yawn thing'.
"Well you should" he told her and he would try to make her laugh as much as he possibly could.. within reason. "well thanks i think" he said slightly confused as to whether it actually was a good thing. "I think its the lifestyle change thing" he said but he didn't realy see what they were moaning about so much. Oh your so naive yet so.. "In time, perhaps I'll share my amazing talent with you," she replied, smirking once more at the Hufflepuff beside her. She nodded, taking on a stern expression, "Wise choice," she replied seriously, "Though, I would be scared to duel me, as well," she joked. She must have been feeling in an especially good mood if she was talking, joking, and smiling the way she was doing with Arthur. It was starting to worry her slightly. She didn't want to end up being too cheery or something. She didn't like it.
Samantha raised a brow at his statement, but before she could ask what he meant, his hand went around her as he faked a yawn. She jumped and let out a small yelp, frightened by the sudden contact. Normally it would bother her, but not like this. It was just so sudden it freaked her out more so than usual. She composed herself before she spoke, repositioning herself on the rock, "Yeah, another thing about me.. I'm not a big fan of being touched. It's the whole.. defense thing. It's instinct. Feels like someone is attacking me," she told him seriously, trying to explain her sudden reaction.
Sam nodded slightly in understanding, "Yeah, I suppose I would be the same way," she admitted. She hated it when things changed, especially if it had been as drastically as that. She sighed for a moment, placing her hands on her lap, "So, what is there to do?" she asked aloud, though it was mostly a question aimed toward the both of them, "This sitting and talking, though nice and peaceful, is getting a little old.. I need something interesting to entertain myself," she explained, "No offense, of course. You're interesting to talk to and all.. but I need a change," she added with a small smile.

Although you could have done more "Perhaps" Arthur said with a smile then laughed as she went on about them dueling. "I'm not scared of you" he told her with a smirk. He could hold his own in a duel and he was fairly sure he could keep up with Sam even if she was a great dueler.
Arthur raised an eyebrow at her reaction, then listened patiently for her to respond "Well if you teach me how to do your awesome evil laugh I'll teach you how to get touched by people" he said then paused a second before adding "that also didn't sound how i meant it too"[/b he said with a smile. "And anyway, you think I'd attack you?" he asked her curiously.
Arthur nodded then thought for a while. "I dont have a clue, you've been here longer what do you normally do?" he asked her curiously, as he hadn't got a clue what to do, if she hadn't showed up he would probably still be sitting there alone, talking to himself. Samantha shrugged lightly at his comment, brushing a couple strands of her blond hair out of her eyes, "Well, I'm sure there's a little fear hidden deep down inside of you somewhere," she stated with a small smirk, looking Arthur over. She had trouble thinking that someone could not be intimidated by her in some way, though she had been fairly decent to this Hufflepuff so far. She examined her nails distractedly as she listened to his next response. She laughed quietly at this, "In time, I'll teach you how to have an amazing evil laugh," she began, still chuckling at his strange statement that certainly came out wrong, as well, "But it's not that I don't know how to be touched, obviously. That just sounds.. yeah.." she continued with a small smile, "It's just that, I don't know, I guess I don't like being touched. I like having my personal space, and not allowing anyone in my bubble," she told him honestly.
She shrugged once more at his next words, "Anyone can attack anyone at any time," she replied simply, "You always have to have your guard up," she paused for a moment, thinking hard now of something she would do, "Normally I would just study, do some sort of homework, or read.. and usually I'd be in the library or my dorm," she replied, realizing that she truly did sound sort of boring, "But I want to do something that I don't normally do.." she trailed off, fidgeting with her hands once more, "Have you been to Hogsmeade?" she asked him suddenly.

Although you could have done more "Fear of the new, maybe but your not so new to me anymore" he said with a smirk. He actually realy cared about Sam which kind of sounded silly as he had only realy just met her but she was like one of very first friends.. that wasn't an animal of some sort or related to him. "yipee" he joked when she said she would teach him to have an amazing evil laugh which should be a pretty cool thing to have.
Arthur smiled at her slightly "You have a weakness" he pointed out with a small smirk then laughed slightly "What do you think i could do to you anyway.. I'm hardly some big muscle of a guy" he told her, she could probably beat him up when it came to physical fitness, Arthur just wasn't strong. "Your safe with me" he added with a smirk.
"Anyone could attack you.. but nobody is going to.. your at Hogwarts for gods sake" he told her with a smirk, if anyone did attack her the attacker would definitely not be seen again for a long time... if they got caught anyway. "So let your guard down for a second and just.. be Sam" he said with a smile trying to just relax her a little bit.
"wow what a ravenclaw" he joked when he found out what she usually would do "nope.. never" he answered, he had heard about it but never actually been, he did most of his shopping in diagon alley.
