There were a number of situations that Jaslene Malfoy couldn’t cope with. One of which, she had foolishly found herself in. Being lost, in the midst of the Forbidden Forest, was not a good thing. Worse of all, it caused her to panic. And when she panicked, she tended to act irrationally and regret things. She couldn’t even remember how she’d become lost in the first place. Sure, the forest was big. Quite big, in fact. But she had never realised that it was possible to lose your way so easily. It was almost as though one minute, she’d known exactly where she was going, but the next, she had no idea where she was. It was odd and confusing. Confusing was annoying. Also something that she didn’t cope very well with. Since she had no idea where she was standing, or even where she was going, there was no point trying to establish either. Sighing inwardly, she carried on walking, treading over the damp floor, with no more idea where she was going than she had had earlier.
In truth, she hadn’t known precisely where she was going when she set out on her journey. But now hopes of directions and signposts seemed futile. Besides, even if you managed to get some directions, whom exactly would they be from? A passing unicorn? That seemed almost as unlikely as her finding her way out of the forest, on her own. But then, her stubbornness would prevent her from asking or accepting help from other people (even if, by some random miracle, she stumbled across somebody else). Not that she saw this as a problem. For one thing, she really didn’t think there were any issues with any part of her attitude, but also because the chances of seeing someone else she recognised in the midst of the forest were very slim. Who else would happen to just be passing by at such a convenient moment? She was now preparing herself for whatever other weird horrors the forest could produce, as she felt certain that these meetings were much more likely.
As she continued, her feet aching slightly from the long walk, which she had now been on, a sudden sharp noise came to her attention. A noise that she did not particularly like the sound of. Facing the direction that she had just come from (or so she imagined), she turned on her heel and sprinted. It surprised her, somewhat, how fast she was able to run, considering sports and active exercise had never been her favourite pastimes. Still running, she couldn’t help but turn her head in the opposite direction, perhaps to catch a glance of the thing she was running from. This, of course, caused her to trip over a small ambiguous piece of vegetation, which caused her to crash into a nearby thick substance. Something she was not pleased about. Sitting up, she brushed a few of the larger leaves out of her golden locks, whilst scowling at the thing which had brought about her fall. She had known, as soon as she hit it, that it was the body of another person.
These things didn’t take much intelligence to work out. None of this mattered, at the moment; however, as she was more concerned with removing all of the unsatisfactory ground material from her own body. She even forgot about the original noise that had caused her to run away. “What were you doing?”
she demanded, still scowling at the offender. She didn’t see any of the previous events as her fault, obviously, it was their fault instead. “You could have seriously hurt me, you idiot!” Even if they weren’t around before then. Yes, definitely their fault. ------------------------------------------------------- word count; 621 tagged; anyone! outfit; here. notes; n/a[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oooh! Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Caught in a bad romance
Nina dragged herself out of bed, not really sure why she even was moving, she felt like she could fall off the edge of the world. When she finally moved to stand she could just feel herself coming apart at the seam, she quickly sprung to her feet and took her music, her life line stuck the ear bud in her ear while trying to get out of her pajama's. She began to sing as Bad Romance began to play. She danced round on one foot as she slipped on her leggings and short shorts, then her boots. Lastly cam her shirt and necklace. She hadn't even thought of putting on her coat until she felt the draft and decided she didn't want to freeze.
Her first stop was right outside her room as she breathed out a few times and just turned letting fate carry her to where it wanted her to go, it took her to the FORBIDDEN FOREST of all places. She stood there and figured she might as well do something to get her mind off of the things that had happened to her.
When she had found herself surrounded she felt lost, very lost, then she heard a noise one of running like a animal tearing through the brush, with her heels she could run as well but she did anyhow. She didn't run near ten feet when her foot caught and she crashed to the ground. She felt dazed and slightly confused, but when something piled into her she screamed and covered her head due to a reflex. When she thought her life would end right there she peeked her head up, and a voice came into a range, a very angry one.
What were you doing?” “You could have seriously hurt me, you idiot!
Without looking at the person because she was so pissed that suddenly she was being yelled at and being called an idiot she said the first thing that came to mind, which was very unlike her.
"Well at least I am not some ugly animal tearing through the woods!." She spat and looked to to see Jaslene Malfoy brushing herself off. Nina smirked finding her mood irritable and irreversible. She stood brushing herself off but found she was horribly off balance she looked down to see the heel of her left boot broken."Look what you made me do!" Nina screeched ripping of the boot and tossing it at the girl angrily. It missed her head by a few inches, unfortunately for Nina's sour demeanor. She took off the other one and tossed it also, it missed by a good foot and smacked against a tree, so now Nina stood on the frozen ground in her socks.
She crossed her arms and just tapped her foot as another song popped on, one that fit her unusual mood,Riot was the song and it gave her much more pleasure, not quite as much as taking Jaslene out would though. Nina wasn't normally violent or mean but she had began to change slight because she couldn't function if she didn't fight she cried and she refused to cry anymore. So it she resorted to lashing out at people who pressed the wrong buttons, which many couldn't normally do that, so Jaslene just came at a very very unlucky time. Nina might have discovered her first enemy, though she could care less because Jaslene was at fault not her."Your going to pay for those!" Nina finally added once her anger turned down slightly and she could speak without swearing out at the Malfoy daughter. Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah!Roma-Roma-ma-ah!Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!

Still attempting to rid her clothing and person of handfuls of browning leaves, she brushed one off of her arm and stood up. She was not at all impressed to see the person that she did. Personally, she had never had many issues with this particular student before; she preferred to ignore most people that she couldn’t be bothered with. She had previously had ideas that this person would be of the same house as her, or else a Gryffindor. They were the only students who would dare to wander into the middle of this forest. She didn’t regret saying any of the stuff she did, especially when the other girl started yelling at her. Some people were odd. This girl appeared to be no exception. Jaslene had the right to be upset/angry/pissed/whatever other emotions came up, but this girl didn’t. She was the one whose body had been in the way of her sprinting. And honestly, who chose such ridiculous clothing to wear when you were outside, in a forest?
Barely blinking throughout the younger student’s shouts, she shrugged her shoulders, while examining the state of her company. “Ugly?”
she repeated. “Excuse me? If you’re going to try and insult me, at least stick with accurate facts. I could make up many lies about you and yell them in your face, but would we really be getting anywhere worthwhile?” She noted the girl’s expression. She hadn’t expected to see such an angry person in the middle of the forest. She didn’t know what the girl’s problem was, but personally, she felt it was all a bit exaggerated. There was no need to yell at her. Jaslene Malfoy was never at fault. “Awh, babe,” she replied, smirking, with a sarcastic tone hidden at the bottom of her words, “You know I like praise where it’s due, but you’re giving me far too much credit. You managed that all by yourself.” It was her own fault. If the girl was intending to step outside, in the castle grounds, surely alarm bells were ringing when she put those shoes on? Jaslene, herself, was a bit eclectic in her choice of clothing, but she would never have worn shoes like that. When the girl became much angrier, she resorted to throwing shoes around, something that Jaslene was not at all happy with. One of them missed her face by a few inches. “Not satisfied with nearly breaking my neck before, then?” she inquired, expressionlessly. “I don’t suppose you would be.” Seeing the other person standing there in just her socks amused her, however. Covering her amused expression, which she felt would probably lead to something else being thrown towards her head; she addressed the girl’s statement. “Well, that’s a very generous offer, but I’ll have to decline. You have more chance of persuading this tree to give you some money. Never mind, you obviously have money to throw away. I’m sure Daddy will buy his nice little girl another pair.” Grinning she kicked the nearest twig from under her feet, watching it fly several metres behind her. “Word of advice, from a wiser person, buy a sensible pair next time.” Noticing another leaf still remaining on the bottom of her skirt, she removed it, ignoring the other girl for a few moments. She seemed content with shouting at anything that happened to come across her path, so maybe she’d take up her argument with the nearest tree and save Jaslene from having to laugh at her. At least she appeared to calm herself a little bit, with her last sentence. “What’s your problem anyway? Anyone would think the world had ended from the way you’re acting.” Against her will, she was somewhat curious to learn as to what had caused this dramatic mood. She didn’t believe it was going to be serious. This girl seemed to have a tendency to overreact. Maybe they weren't that all that different after all. Oh-oh-oh-oh-oooh! Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Caught in a bad romance
Nina was still fuming and couldn't believe that she had to deal with this stupid girl, sure she was the same house, but Nina could care less. Her body told her, what are you doing?. Nina ignored the kindness that would normally be brimming from her. Course now Nina was lost with a Malfoy, and not any Malfoy, Jaslene Malfoy. Nina had heard she was a dangerous to mess with, but Nina wasn't exactly paying attention to all everything.
Before, Nina didn't exactly plan on coming in here, or being chased down by a monster, that was still a monster but not a dangerous one really. And even if it hadn't been Jaslene she much would have rather been eaten then having to deal with this person of all people. It was the LAST thing she wanted to do, in her state of emotions it wouldn't go over well. Course if she wasn't careful she could break down in tears, which would be horrible and she would be posted up as a nut case. Being a nut case wasn't a great lot in life to have, and Nina didn't want one bit of it. She didn't want to end up like most of the people in this place. She finally began to speak again.
"What are you talking about, when I said ugly, I certainly was being accurate." A hand flew to Nina's chest where her heart was as if she had been insulted. Then her eyes narrowed to quite a degree as the next thing came out of the Malfoy's mouth." I appreciate that complaint you must have tried really hard, but don't worry you'll get it." Nina waved her hand in a floppy manner as if giving comfort. Nina admitted it wasn't smart she wore the shoes, but course she hadn't planned to go running either.
'Hardly, It seems you have big enough bones to protect you." Nina fired back, the insult mean Jaslene was fat, but she could take any way she wanted. Now the next thing almost broke Nina of her anger, but then it just deepened it."my Daddy, didn't buy hardly any of my clothes, I got them on my own! I got a job before I cam here and saved! My Daddy hates me being even close to a Witch."Then she breathed out not wanting to go on with her parents and her."Oh my, your so good a stating the obvious!" Nina clapped praising the girl.
When Jaslene said the next few words, Nina would have thought them rude, but instead they came out what seemed a bit curious maybe even caring?"Really want to know? Well then sense its just us. I guess I can tell you. Looks like instead of being smart like I should have been I let a guy sweep me of my feet, he told me he love me , and decided if I loved him that I should make him happy." Nina faltered slightly and turned away shaking her head as she tore her ear phones from her ears. Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah!Roma-Roma-ma-ah!Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!

It was a mystery as to what she had actually done to make such an enemy of this girl. Whatever the reasons, the younger girl seemed to have a real dislike for her. And the most infuriating thing was that Jaslene could not think what had caused this hatred. She couldn’t remember ever having a proper conversation with this girl and now she was in a situation, lost in the middle of the forbidden forest with the only student who voiced their dislike so loudly and bluntly. Whatever she had done must have been quite severe then. Or maybe the girl was simply displacing her anger and frustration onto another target. She couldn’t help but briefly wonder if she had actually done anything to hurt or offend the other girl. Coming up with nothing, she decided that the girl probably had some random, weird reason for disliking her. After all, if she had done anything, she was sure she’d remember it. And probably still find it rather hilarious. But when one had someone who obviously hated you standing in front of them, it wasn’t exactly the prime opportunity to reminiscence.
She was partly thankful when the silence fell between them, even if it only lasted a few minutes. A few more minutes would have been nice, but the break in the conversation wasn’t at all awkward or unwelcome as it would have been had it been anyone else she had been standing next to. “Nice.”
She commented, still unable to keep the sarcasm from influencing her words. “I think we’re both aware that it isn’t true though. And, just for future reference, insults like that don’t matter to me. We’re not eleven years old.” She laughed at the girl’s next response. Clearly, she was not impressed. “Aw, you think that was trying?” she said, watching the expressions of the other student. “It’s nice that you flatter yourself that much, but believe me, I’m not trying. You’re not worth the effort.” This was remarkably good of her. Usually she’d have lost her temper by now. Being lost amplified any feelings she had. So, thankfully, she’d managed to keep her temper under wraps. At least for now. “Or, maybe, to add a wild guess, your aim is left wanting. You would have missed most people with those attempts. It has nothing to do with how tall, short, thin or otherwise I am.” Quite satisfied with her comments, despite them not being as sharp as the ones coming from the girl (mostly because she didn’t see why this girl hated her so much). She noticed, instantly, that the comment about family had struck her unexpectedly. Evidently, this was an undesirable topic of conversation for the younger Slytherin. Titling her head, she smiled ever so sweetly at the girl. “That’s excellent. Then all you need to do is save up for some better shoes. Though I expect it is your brattish personality, rather than you being a witch that he finds offensive.” Still keeping the sweet smile, she paced for a few steps, for want of something more interesting to do. “Thank you.” She replied, as though the girl’s fake compliment had been genuine. “And you’d think it would be obvious, but obviously not to you, when you chose to wear such ridiculous footwear.” At the girl’s explanation of what was wrong with her, Jaslene went back to doubting whether the girl hated her personally. She also began to wonder what was wrong with the general student population lately. They were all spouting stupid stories of love and lust, ones that she was tired of hearing. Was the rest of the world also acting like lovesick puppies? As if love was the beginning and ending of all things. It was pathetic. Half of them didn’t even know what love was. Rolling her eyes, she spoke again, “A boy?” she exclaimed, rather exasperatedly. "All of this for one boy?" She had been expecting and hoping for a story of more depth and more interest. She didn’t feel like talking through yet another conversation about who was in love with who and whose heart was breaking. “Aren’t you like fourteen? Why bother with love at such a young age?” she asked. “Why give everything for this one boy? He wasn’t worth it. Boys never are.” That was her own cold perspective of love. Until she found evidence to suggest otherwise, she was going to doubt men in general. Love was such an overrated concept. Why did anyone get involved with it? She’d managed pretty well, merely acting on curiosity and lust. Why mess everything up with ‘love’? Oh-oh-oh-oh-oooh! Oh-oh-oooh-oh-oh!
Caught in a bad romance
"Oh wasn't aware you weren't eleven, my apologizes."Nina replied sarcastically. Then she crossed her arms angrily. She breathed out and then closed her eyes and opened them again."Only one can think you were trying, you do have difficulties we just don't want to hurt you by talking about them"Nina said this in a sickly sweet polite voice that was almost convincing."Worth the effort, or is that more that your obvious non mentionable difficulties are coming through."Nina replied in that sweet voice again. Nina sighed and just shook her head as if worried about the girls sanity. Then her eyes narrowed at the next insult."Oh I am sorry, I guess you have a hard time excepting your not perfect." Again the concerned voice came out.
Nina crossed her arms at the mention of her father again."Compared to your sweet personality I would say I was a innocent little girl." Nina said sarcastically Even copying Jaslene's smile."To be honest i wasn't planning on coming in here and being run down by a monster." Nina commented ignoring the 'thank you'.
Nina faltered at the next subject and she crumpled slightly as she looked down."Hes not just some boy.". Nina mumbled silently and uncrossed her arms, her whole demeanor deflating. She was no longer angry girl, she was just herself with a very confused and weak heart. Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah!Roma-Roma-ma-ah!Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!

Yep. One thing was certain. This girl had issues. Something led to her believe there were other problems, other than the one she was claiming. No normal person would come at another with such force. Even if the girl did have issues with Jaslene, it was still a little bit too much. Was it possible that ‘love’ could cause such extreme emotions? Not in itself, surely? She’d witnessed many acts of violence and anger before, and none of those seemed to centre on love. How could love lead to anger? It was a paradox and a ridiculous one at that. To have this honoured aspect of life turn into negative attitudes, it just didn’t seem normal. But then, was anything concerning love normal? People seemed to only get worse from the experience. Such a pessimistic perspective of love probably wasn’t normal for a girl of her age either, but people seemed to forget how much pain love could actually cause. Living amongst Lucius Malfoy probably didn’t help much either. If anything, it had contributed greatly to her attitude. Not that she had noticed. From her own experiences, love was a foolish thing to care about. Until there was something dramatically different, she was perfectly happy functioning without it.
Could the girl not see for herself how melodramatic she was being? And all for the sake of one man. Rolling her eyes, she turned away while the girl continued to throw more insults at her. Ignoring most of them, mostly because she couldn’t be bothered with them, let alone care enough to throw more abuse back. What difference did it make? She had the feeling the girl was revelling in the chance to insult her. It certainly appeared as though it was doing her some good. She had an opportunity to shout at someone. A shame it wasn’t the person she claimed to be angry at, but better than keeping it all in. Self-expression was a good thing, right? Even if her current favoured method of self-expression was to throw and scream things in whatever direction she fancied. The sixth year was sure the girl would calm down eventually – she didn’t seem the type to offend people regularly. She was clearly suffering at the hands of love. What a fool. Flicking her blonde hair behind her, she twisted her body so that she was once again facing the younger student. “I don’t have problems, dear.”
Unlike you, she couldn’t help but mutter underneath her breath. “I’m clearly the healthy, happy individual here. Apart from the fact that we’re lost, obviously. But I’m not the one throwing objects at other people.” Pouting, she smirked at the girl’s sharp comments. “Nobody’s perfect. But you have to admit, I’m pretty near.” Reaching out with her hand, she grabbed one of the shoes the girl had thrown away, only to notice a small path nearby. Was that the one she had come from? She sighed, if she couldn’t recognise where she’d previously been, her chances of noticing a new location were rather limited. Holding her arm out towards the younger girl, she offered the shoes that had been thrown at her head. There was every chance of repairing them. “And, I beg to differ. I see no problems with my own personality. I can honestly say that I am just as, if not more, innocent as you. Besides, I think you’ll find that your own personality flaws are the ones you should be concentrating on.” She didn’t like it when people copied her actions, but she decided against speaking on that matter. Taking a deep breath, she took a few steps and tried to analyse the state of the girl. She wasn’t looking so good. Of course, Jaslene was deeply thankful that the girl had stopped insulting and physically attacking her, but she wasn’t pleased to discover that she would have to say something else in this area of conversation. She had nothing else to add. What was there to say? Encouraging advice? Jaslene wasn’t at all talented in this area. She had no idea how to comfort other girls. Especially when they claimed to be experiencing heartbreak or similar problems. “If he’s male, he’s just a boy." She laughed. "Honey, do you know how many more there are out there? Millions. You're not exactly short of options. Why bother with the assholes?” She finished lamely, unsure of how best to describe Nina’s earlier outbursts. However, in her own head, she was already complaining. Why couldn’t people just move on and accept it. "Find someone nice instead." It wasn’t that hard. There was no need to wallow and make it worse than it already was. Such behaviour would inflict more pain on the person doing so. It was obvious. She couldn’t help but think some people needed to tone down their emotions.
