Annie pulled on her jeans and dragged the black top over her head. She scouted the room for her favourite grey boots, grabbing them up and then clipping her penguin necklace around her neck. She checked herself in her mirror and smiled. She was in her bedroom, but planned on heading up to the castle. She had some odd craving to sit up in the clock tower. Annie used to go there a lot to think, and she hadn’t been there for awhile. She guessed she just missed it, as she spent a lot of time there rushing homework. Oddly enough she found it was easy to think there, even with the noise!
Annie grabbed her keys and locked her apartment behind her. As she walked she thought about Chris, and whether she’d bump into him today at the castle. He’d been at the back of her mind since the kissing thing because she knew that he was a Slytherin, and she sort of felt wrong because of that, even if he was a Weasley! And although she’d heard his reputation in the school, she knew she could trust him, or at least some part of her did, because she’d invited him to her apartment, so she had to trust him, right?
Annie climbed the steps to the tower and sat herself against the wall. She glanced out at the clock, looking through the glass and out to the grounds of Hogwarts. She wondered how she had never really noticed how beautiful the place was, as it was so pretty, with the remnants of snow on the ground and the mountains in the distance! It seemed like a whole other world to the muggle one, like she’d gone through the looking glass or something!

Emelia had always liked the clock tower, it wasn't a very busy place and since she wasn't a very social person she loved the quiet Grabbing her book she headed there, planning on spending her time reading. Emelia loved books and losing herself in them. Fiction books were her favourite, she hated non-fiction and school books. They usually were so boring and had just fact after fact in them or the story was tragic, knowing that things like that could actually happen were scary so she just read fiction knowing it was highly unlikley something like that would happen to her. Although since they were in they were in the magic world no one knew what could happen next.
Making her way slowly up the steps she saw a red haired girl sitting against a wall looking outside, she looked in deep though. Sighing she turned around and decide to leave the girl and go somewhere else. The last minute she changed her mind. 'Hi, my names Emelia.' She muttered not sure of what else to do..

Annie was so lost in her thoughts that it took a moment to register that someone was talking to her. Her head snapped to the side, and for a moment there was a half dazed and sort of comical look on her face. But she pulled her face back under control and mustered a friendly smile. She didn’t recognise the girl who the voice belonged to, so it wasn’t a Gryffindor, or at least, not a Gryffindor that hung around the common room a lot. She shuffled over so there was some space for the girl to sit down. Annie noticed a book in her hands, and supposed that she wasn’t the only one who loved this place for the quiet.
”Hey, I’m Annie, it’s nice to meet you!”
She said, smiling. She wondered what house the girl was in, and with the book, she’d made a guess at Ravenclaw, although it was known that sometimes the stereotype was wrong. She could be a Hufflepuff, but Annie doubted that she was a Slytherin. ”Sorry if you think this is rude, but what house are you in?” Annie asked, as she was always curious to which house people belonged. She didn’t know why it made her wonder so much, but she supposed that being at Hogwarts, you were sorted right at the beginning, based on what trait’s the hat thinks you have. The house sort of defines you, and Annie had to admit that it gave her a general idea of what a person was like, although the hat could be wrong.[/blockquote] Tagged TAG Lyrics Another Day - Paramore Counted at 295. Emelia noticed the girl finally look at her. The girl shuffled along to make room for Emelia, so she sat down. The girl introduced herself as Annie and smiled. Nice easy name to remember, since I'm really forgetful. Emelia started trying to figure out what house Annie belong to. She couldn't be a slytherin because slytherins don't smile they smirk. She couldn't be a Ravenclaw because Emelia had never seen her around the Ravenclaw common room. She could be a Hufflepuff but their more shy and and wouldn't had asked the question that she did next, so she had to be a Griffindor. Confirming that they were thinking about the same thing she had asked what house she was in. Why is it always so important what house your in, well she had thought about it and the house your put in defines you- why. Some people don't fit into the profile of the house their in.
'I'm a Ravenclaw, you?' Emelia asked it was pretty clear that she was a Griffindor but she wanted her to confirm it. Annie could be one of the exceptions of the people who don't fit into their house profiles. Emelia gazed out of the window, usually when she was meeting anew person she feels awkward because she doesn't know them but this was different maybe because they were in the clock tower, a peaceful place.
