Could you ever imagine a world with out the sun? Where the days were always dull and dark, where you couldn't feel the warm sun against your fair skin? Thank god we have the sun?! These things had gone through Shanice's mind over and over again. Was this how Vincent felt? Alone and un-heard? Sometimes she knew that Vincent thought she had no friends, she would have to admit, that was partly true for her. Being that she wasn't the smartest apple on the tree, made it hard for Shanice to fit in with her fellow peers.
All the hufflepuffs were reasonably smart, mostly grading from E's to O's. While Shanice did pretty, shit. Sometimes she felt like she didn't belong to any house, but being that she had a caring heart probably gained her trustworthy friends, mostly loyal. Ah, maybe that's why Shanice didn't have groups of friends. She tends to look for certain friends, since she wouldn't want to be back stabbed by a close friend, especially since she had a few close friends, and many acquaintances.
Shanice decide to leave the warm, comfort of the Hufflepuff common room, un aware that many people would be outside right about now, especially it being such an blistering day, but before she left, she knew that jeans and a long sleeve top wouldn't do her good outside in this weather. She ventured up to the girls dorm, looking through her trunk for suitable clothes. She pulled out a denim skirt and threw it on her bed along with some black leggings and a vest top. She closed her trunk lid carefully and walked over to the side of her bed.
She got re-dressed and of course being a girl, accessories was a must. She put on a long necklace and some bracelets. She pulled her hair out and left it down, not doing much with it, but used a nice hair clip, with a bow on it, to keep her fringe to the side of her face. She felt more cold now, but it was better feeling cold than boiling outside, especially because it was to nice to sit inside during this weather. She left the girls common room and wondered down the stairs, exiting the hufflepuff common room quickly.
She walked past the kitchens and avoided most of the taunting slytherins, unfortunately bumping into one or two who sneered at her, but she didn't exactly care. She came to the entrance hall and saw a lot of hot faces coming back in. Listening to a lot of moaning ravenclaws, which was rather odd to her. She walked outside to the courtyard and looked around. The laughter was loud and Shanice knew everyone had there own group of friends. She walked past a few groups and placed herself down on one of the arches so she could feel the shade on her back, but feel the sun on her face.

It had been a really slow day so far, and Trevor had found himself just randomly roaming the corridors of Hogwarts. The outdoors just seemed way too cluttered at the moment, with the relatively nice weather. Sure, he was used to being around many people, just he wasn't up for it today.
Passing some random groups of students here and there, he felt rather superior to them. He was an upper classman, after all. This was his last year at this school, no matter how depressing that fact actually was. He really did like this place, deep down inside. He passed a group of Ravenclaw girls, probably fourth years, and couldn't help but wink at them and flash his brilliantly white teeth, using his charm. They instantly started giggling and blushing, huddling closely to each other, and began whispering, staring at his retreating figure as he went on his way.
By now he was used to that sort of treatment, and really didn't mind it. Actually, he found it quite nice. Many guys around this school would kill to be him, having all the ladies seeming to fall for him at first glance. It made it easier to get the girls, and then when he was done with them, he would just move on to the next. He had never been in an actual 'relationship' really, and he wasn't a fan of them. He liked his way of going about things, and wasn't planning on changing it any time soon. To him, girls were like.. gum. Was that a good comparison? Sure. After a while, they would lose their taste, he would spit them out, then be on to a new piece. Pretty simple.
Trev found himself near the courtyard, and decided it wouldn't hurt just to go outside for a bit more. There honestly wasn't much else to do at the moment, and his school work was sitting in his dorm, undone. He was never one to do his work, anyway. Normally he left it until at the very last minute, then threw together a worthless piece of crap, and got a pretty bad grade. He still managed to pass all of his classes, though. So far.
Trevor stepped out into the bright sunlight, and glanced around at the students wandering about, chatting with friends. He spotted a few people he knew, and would nod and grin at them in acknowledgment, but other than that, he didn't stop to chat. As he was walking past one of the arches, he noticed a girl who seemed to be alone. Strangely, she seemed to be the only one not with someone else, and that's what seemed to have drawn his attention.
He smirked to himself as he ran a hand through his long, dirty blond hair, and took a few confident steps forward until he stood in front of her, "Well, hello there," he began flirtatiously, "What would a beauty like you be doing here, all by yourself?" he had assumed she was alone, but who knew, maybe one of her friends had just strayed off and would come back soon.

So this was the part were boredom was a issue, Shanice had been by herself all day, well most of the day actually. She really couldn't be bored to move at all, she leaned back slightly, closing her eyes. Having the sensation of the warm sun against her skin, was just as enjoyable as the cold shade against her back, she exhaled loudly and let her hair blow gently in the wind.
The light went quickly, Shanice opened one eye and saw a hufflepuff stood in front of her, a boy, and a fit one at that! She opened both eyes and looked over him with her blue eyes. Leaning forward she used her hands to support her chin. She now new who he was, all the girls talked about him a lot, always about how charming he was, but Shanice wouldn't or would try not to fall for any of that. She was a hard one to charm actually, she wouldn't just fall all over a guy at all.
She smirked slightly and looked away, "Ah, hello there to you too." She replied looking at him with a warm smile. She sat up right and sighed before snickering slightly. "Hm, well, there isn't anything to do, hence why i am alone." She responded, tossing her blond hair to the side. "And, what about you, why are you all on your own." She said, looking around slightly.

Trevor casually showed his hands in the pocket of his pants as he leaned back against something solid. What it was, he didn't know, but it wasn't moving, so that was good, and it didn't feel like a person or anything. A smirk was still written on his face as she watched the girl's reaction closely. He had to admit, she was very attractive. Or, as he liked to call it, hot. It was a surprise to him that she seemed to be here by herself. Surely she had friends?
"Well, don't you have friends or something to hang out with?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. He watched as she tossed her hair to the side, the sunlight bouncing nicely off of it. Blonds always seemed to be his favorite, somehow. Or maybe it was just a coincidence that he happened to hook up with blond girls rather than brunettes or something of that sort. He took a quick glance around him before letting his sparkling blue eyes fall back on the girl, who he had yet to learn the name of.
"I'm not exactly here alone.." he began. Well, it was partially a lie, "But, I don't really feel like hanging with my usual groupies right now. You looked like you needed some company, so I decided to join you," he added with a slight shrug, "And on such a beautiful day like this, it would be horrible to waste it away by having no one to chat with," he flashed her one of his brilliantly bright smiles, exposing his highly noticeable dimples. That always seemed to charm a girl.

Shanice snickered, of course she had friends. Heck, she could of been with Vicky or Vincent. As usual Vincent was in his room, along with Vicky who Shanice hadn't seen since the Halloween ball. She should really send her a owl and catch up with her, oh and maybe Vincent, she hadn't seen him since she bumped into him in the owlery. She closed her eyes quickly, forgetting her thoughts of what her friends were doing.
She folded her arms before answering his question, "Ah well, I'd be with them, but to unfortunate events they're either studying in the library or they're just lazy." She responded to him quickly, not batting a eyelid. Sounded quite stupid actually, but then again it made sense to her.
A smile spread across her lips, that smile was gold, but she was much harder to charm than other girls, he has probably been in a lot of girls knickers in the past, hence why Shanice had decide to be careful. "Uh huh." She said raising a eyebrow at him, "I'm Shanice by the way, Shanice Abercrombie." She spoke in a more mature way than what she normally would. "What's your name?" She asked folding her arms looking at him slightly.

Trevor smiled slyly at her reply, "Well, well, they aren't worthy of your friendship, then," he began, "Obviously, if they were your friends, they wouldn't leave someone as gorgeous as yourself alone, with nothing to do," he added, the sly smile still placed on his features. Things always seemed to go his way if he complemented the girl on her appearance.
The smile that spread across her lips then was quite alluring, and his own smile grew even wider. He ran a hand through his messy hair once more before returning it to his pocket, "Well it's a pleasure to meet you then, Miss Abercrombie," he replied. Okay, now he was just sounding cheesy. He exhaled loudly, and quickly glanced at the bright sun before his eyes returned to Shanice, "Or I can just call you Shanice, make things easier," he added with a smirk.
"The names Trevor," he began, "Last name isn't too important," he added with a shrug. It isn't like she would be screaming my first and last name in bed, so there's no reason she needs to know it, he added to his thoughts. His mind began to wander places then, and he had to stop himself. Wow, he could really have quite the dirty mind sometimes, "So, why would you choose to come here, of all places?" he started up again, "It's rather crowded here," he added, taking a quick glance at his surroundings to survey the other students wandering around and chatting with friends, "I mean, surely there's other places to be that are nice like this, yet not as crowded?" he asked, raising an eyebrow suggestively, his cunning smirk in place. He was acting differently now than he would around his normal group of friends. That was only because he was trying to use his charm and sound slightly intelligent.

Shanice shook her head and smirked at the boy, "My friends are rather loyal, they don't always study either, besides, i'm not going to be with someone twenty four seven either." She replied, her cheeks tinted red, but she convinced herself that she didn't fall for charm. "I don't do charm, it doesn't work on me, so don't try it." She spoke being quite cocky.
A annoyed look grew on her face as he called her by her last name, she hated it. "I would prefer Shanice thank you very much." She said to him, normally only people she didn't like called her by her last name, or teachers, of course she didn't mind the teachers though, they were aloud to at time, most of them called her by Shanice though, she expected all of her friends to call her Shanice though.
She nodded his head, she cocked her eyebrow and smirked at him. Of course he was much older than her, by about a year. Her blond hair fell in front of her face as she looked down slightly. "I wanted a warm feeling," She spoke looking at him. "Well, there was no one else in the hufflepuff common room so i came out here." She didn't really have a reason to be there, she could of been with Vicky, but she couldn't be bothered to find the older gryffindor girl. "If your trying to charm me, you need to try harder than that." She said, these things didn't work on her so well.

Trevor noticed the slight hint of red that barely tinted her cheeks, and kept the smirk on his face. So far, it seemed to be working in his favor. Or maybe it wasn't? She didn't seem as easy as most girls, he had to admit. He kept the frown from forming on his face at the girl's next comment. He knew she would fall for him eventually. He usually didn't lose these battles, though; he always got the girl, in the end.
He kept his hands stuffed casually in his pockets, still leaning lightly against the hard surface. He could tell from her appearance, that he had annoyed her slightly by calling her by her last name. Oh, this was perfect! Now he knew how to get under her skin, "Well, now that I think about it.." he began slyly, gazing at her with his brightly colored eyes, "Abercrombie rolls off the tongue quite nicely," he finished.
He couldn't help but chuckle slightly at her excuse, and already had a reply, "A warm feeling, huh? Well, I know of some other places that could give you a.. warm feeling," he couldn't help but give her a wink at this statement, nodding his head slightly, and keeping the smirk on his face. He sighed slightly with a quick roll of his eyes, "Who said I was trying? This just comes naturally," he replied lamely, sending a hand through his hair again before replacing it in his pocket. This girl really was difficult. He would have to up his game a bit, he decided.

Shanice leaned back, pulling her legs up and turned so Trevor was to the side of her. She pulled her legs up and put them against the other wall, like it was her own little space, which it was actually. She shook her head and narrowed her eyes toward him. This boy really got on her nerves, trying to charm girl while annoying her wasn't the best combination either. She looked at the grass before speaking, "Oh, if it really comes 'naturally' to you," She mimicked using her fingers to quote the naturally. "You'd be very smart that if a girl tells you not to say her last name, you tend to listen to her." She said the corner of her mouth turning up into a smirk.
"When your trying to charm a girl, don't annoy her, she'll just walk off," Taking a short breath before finishing her sentence, "Like this." She said standing up and walking away from Trevor. She shook her head as she left his side, finding the company of a shaded tree. Sitting down in the shade, she leaned back putting her hands behind herself.
If he thought his charm came naturally to him, then Shanice would just prove him wrong. Even though she nearly blushed at one of his comments. Of course Shanice was use to this though, nearly all the boys in hogwarts would try something on, only to have fail. All they wanted to do was get into her knickers, since she was smart enough to know this, she could easily walk away before it was too late.

Trevor couldn't help but roll his eyes toward the sky then, thinking that this girl was being quite difficult. Sometimes there came a time like this one, where he would choose between two options. One being he had to up his game a bit, turn the charm up a notch. The second option was just to get on her nerves. It also seemed to come naturally to him to just annoy people when he felt the need. Normally he managed to annoy the male population more so than the females, but she seemed like an easy one to annoy. This actually amused him, so that was why this was actually an option.
Trev remained in his position, leaning against the hard surface, as he watched the blond walk away, toward a tree. Of course, he was going to follow after her, but he didn't want to seem desperate or something. He counted slowly to five in his head before taking slow, casual strides toward Shanice, who now sat underneath a shaded tree. His hands remaining in his pockets as he stared down at her with a raised eyebrow, "Oh, now, that was harsh, Abercrombie. It was like you took a knife and stabbed me right through the heart. It hurt.. it really did," a pout appeared across his features as he said this, his hands leaving his pockets and going up to rest on his chest, as if placed on his heart. Anyone could see through his act, but that was the purpose. It was his fake little act of sorrow that he was almost positive would get on her nerves.
