Rosalyn's shoes were making sounds in the empty corridor, everyone was in their common rooms and she had detention with a Slytherin. He was the only one that she had to look after that day, and she wasn't surprised that it was Christopher Weasley. He was trouble, and probably most of the school knew it. She sighed, and pulled out her wand. She muttered a spell and the puddle next to her feet cleared up, she was wondering who was spilling water, but didn't try to find out, no one would own up and it wasn't of any importance. She was out of her robes for the detention, wearing jeans and a sweater. That's the outfit she felt most comfotable in, and it was a very casual outfit. She ran a hand through her hair, her greeny brown eyes on the door to the muggle studies classroom.
As she approached it, she walked in and saw that Christoper was already there. 'I'm sorry I'm late.' She said, seinding the boy a smile, then she walked down to her table and leaned against ti, crossing her arms over her chest. 'So, Mr Weasley, are you going to tell me what you were doing in the female bathrooms today?' she asked, her voice soft but stern. She thought of his father, and what a joker he was when she was at school, but the Sktyheritn boy didn't seem to be anything like George Weasly, and she was kind of disappointed in that.
((Sorry if you don't agree with anything in this post, I'll change it if you dont.. ))

Christopher had found himself once again in trouble, he had got caught coming out of the girls bathroom, honestly he had first only gone in there because he hadnt noticed the sighn because he was in a rush and because it was empty he didnt think anything of it but the lack of urinals did confuse him slightly. then when he left the toilet and noticed the sighn on the door he couldnt help but feel slightly embarrassed and he needed a reason incase he got caught to be in the girls bathroom so he went back and planted some stink bombs that would go off next time someone turned one of the taps on. the advantages of being the son of a joker he thought with a smirk.
He stood in the Muggle Studies classroom waiting for the teacher who would be yelling at him, he had heard her name but not seen her yet so he was expecting some short plump lady or one that was incredibly old. He stood there bored slightly, he hadnt took muggle Studies so the items in the room were rather interesting but they soon lost there effects of awe. That was when he heard a voice here we go he turned to face her and was shocked at what he saw.
SHES HOT! he thought his jaw opening slightly but he soon closed it and got some composure "Hi late im Chris" He said with a smirk as he saw her smile wow shes got a nice smile.. wait dude you cant get this girl shes a teacher he thought annoyed slightly that there was going to be a good looking girl that got away without him even kissing her well i guess i can flirt he thought then began to answer "What can i say.. im curious?" he said with a shrug and a smile. Although just making up reasons to be in the girls bathroom's pretty funny enough

Rosalyn's eyes landed on the boy, and she sighed at his expression. Once again, a student, with his jaw open when they saw her, really she wan't anything all that special. But she shruddged it off, looking at him composing himself. She smiled at his witty comment, 'It's Professor Rowett for you Mr Weasley,' she said, ignoring his first name. It was almost like an unspoken rule, that the adults and children call eachother by surnames, so she wan't even going to try calling the boy Chris. Rose sighed as she noticed his smirk, why did Slytherins tend to do that? Even when she was in school still, everyone from that house were known that they were from there becuase of the way thei'r lips curled up that tiny bit, and into an unattractive smirk, and that kind of annoyed Ms Rowett.
Rosalyn has had a lof of experience of boys in the girls bathroom, and sighed. She was sure that he was lying, being the son of George Weasly, he would have planted some sort of bomb. 'Oh really?' she asked, standing up and walking around her desk, and taking a seat. She put her chin gently on the palms of her hands, and looked at him. 'Somehow that is very hard to believe.' she said, 'Would you like to tell me what were you really doing there?' she asked sweetly, with a smile. 'Why don't you take a seat Mr Weasley?' she said politely, with a voice that said 'end of conversation.'

"Fine by me Professor Rowett" Chris said with a smirk putting emphasis on her name, he had to admit he was wishing he had took muggle studies but it didnt seem like an interesting subject and honestly could he be bothered to sit there watching her for like an hour.. probably yes but he knew he would kick himself for it when he grew older wishing he had got himself better qualifications, which is what he was doing. He already knew as much as he was going to need about Muggles. Chris noticed as she sighed when he smirked ok no more smirking if i want to at least have some fun messing with her head he thought then went to smirk but had to stop himself, it was habit to just smirk about every cunning thing he said or thought.
chris knew she wasnt buying the entire curious thing about the bathroom oh well its worth a try "You know my father i suppose.. well personalities dont run through the blood" he told her but then paused for moment then smiled "but in this case i guess it might, your right it wasnt curiosity" he then paused woundering what she would do if he just told the truth, he had never realy been honest straight away but he wondered what the consequences would be. only one way to find out he thought then said "Honestly i didnt look at the sign, i walked in, didnt realy notice the lack of urinals.. erm.. yeah u know.. did my business.. and then i got caught coming out" he said feeling quite awkward telling a girl he went to the toilet even though everyone did it. "Dont mind if i do" he said when she told him to sit down, he had noticed her sweet smile that looked pretty attractive on her so he responded with his sweetest smile which was harder then it sounds for a Slytherin. Rosie hated when all thos smug students did the whole emphasising thing with her name when she told them to call her by her surname. She believed it to be immature, and it proved nothing. She sighed, 'I'm glad Mr Weasley that you can use the word Professor, but please do not act so smug with me.' She said, a feisty look on her face, her browny green eyes darting. The look that she gave him, said do not mess with me, and yes Rosalyn Rowett was quite laid back, but when students were like that she had no patience, or time to argue. She rummaged through her draw, and pulled out a piece of parchment. She scanned through it, then looked at Christopher. 'I see that you have failed to sign up for Muggle Studies,' Rose said observingly, 'Care to tell me why that is?' she asked, looking up at the boy.
When he started speaking again, she put her paper down and linked her long fingers together, putting them like that on the table. Her gaze was questioning, and waiting. She listened carefully to what he was saying. Rosalyn had to stiffle a laugh at his reasoning, somehow not really believing him. She raised a brow, and ran a hand through her hair, amusement clearly visible on her face. But then her face grew stern again, as Christopher turned back into his Slytherin self. She let out a soft breath, 'I hope that that will not be repeated again Mr Weasley, next time there will be much higher consequences for you, than just sitting detention with me for an hour.' She exclaimed, and wondered what she could do as punishment.

"Fine then, smugness be gone, but call me chris, Mr Weasley.. hes like my dad" he said with a smile, it felt weird being called Mr.Weasley as his entire life he had always been 'Chris' or 'Christopher' or even 'The Eldest Slytherin Weasley Kid' which was a mouthful but it felt more comfortable then Mr.Weasley as that had always been his dad, i guess one day he would be a Mr.Weasley but he was still a child and he wasnt going to act all older then he realy was. "Yeah, at the time i didnt think it would be my kind of thing" Chris said then paused for a moment before saying "But if your the teacher, and you think i'll get something out of it.. pass me a quill" he smiled slightly he was willing to sign up late for Muggle studies if she gave him a decent enough reason to.
"Im sure it wont.. of course next time i walk into a bathroom i'll look for the urinals" he said with a smile letting out a light laugh then dded "Please call me Chris and just out of curiosity.. what would this punishment be?" he was curious because if the 'punishment' sounded like something he would be spending more time with her for he probably would do it again but try to get caught because.. well he could see he was going to have some fun talking to this teacher, and if he didnt he could just enjoy the view. Rosalyn raised her perfect brown softly, she had heard of that reasoning so many times, and it seeemd quite... well reasonable, for a lack of a better word. 'Well then Chris, I am sorry if I offended you in any way by calling you by your last name.' She said to him, genuinely. However, there may have been another reason as to why he didn't want that, after all he was Slyhterin, and a Weasley..
Rosie sarted paying attention again, as he spoke. 'Christopher, it is not what I think that matters, it's what you think is best for your self to do to accomplish what you need in the future, so I'm not about to go making you to take Muggle Studies. If you don't think that it would be very beneficial, then be it.' Rosalyn was always like that. giving the other person the choice. She didn't come down on chirldren hard until they started misbehaving, or not doing their homework, but Rosalyn let them have their free will, hence why shy wasn't making Chris choose Muggle Studies.
Rosalyn couldn't help but let out a soft laugh, with soft humour the situation seemed more surreal, but believeable. She just smiled at him for a second, and then her face became expressionless as she thought about his last question. 'Well, I guess I can't let you go that easily, so you can start by cleaning all the muggle devices in my room, by hand, even if you have your reasoning.' She smiled, brought her wand out and conjured a cloth. She stood up, then walked towards the boy and handed it to him.

Chris smiled as she apologized wow a teacher apologizing to me so fast, thats a new record he thought and said No worries, i wasnt offended i just want to cling onto my childhood while i still have it" he said which was the truth he didnt look forward to leaving Hogwarts and going out into the real world even though if he failed at getting himself a job he always had his Dad's joke shop to fall back on. Chris then listend to what she had to say about him taking muggle studies.
"I think i know pretty much all i will need about Muggle's because my Grandfather worked for the Ministry of Magic Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office and he was constantly bringing work home with him and when i was little he would pretty much tell me what every single thing in the Muggle world did exactly" Chris said with a small shrug. God that was boring he thought but couldnt help to think it would help him later on in life though. "Plus if i did take it i think you'd distract me.. not meaning to of course" he said with a small smile and another shrug, this was also the truth and aswell as that he was kind of flirting with her.
"Fine by me" Chris said when he found out the punishment, he was used to these kind of punishments plus he knew how to clean Muggle stuff.. thanks to his Grandfather.. again. Chris took the cloth of her and then paused for a moment "Im going to need some washing up liquid and hot water aswell.. oh and another cloth to dry things" Chris said with a smile, that should shock her on how much he actually knew about taking care of Muggle things god help her if shes just been rubbing them with a cloth.. he thought knowing it would just ware away most of the things. oh god im turning into my grandfather

Rosalyn was sort of shocked at what Chris had just said. Usually, people of his age wanted to grow up as fast as they could, act all big and knowing, but Rose had some respect for this boy here, who knew what life meant and how to use it. 'I think you may be the only person of your age to say something like that, in all my life.' She said, 'I respect you for that.' And it was true, Rosalyn felt like he actually meant it and she was glad that his thoughs were like that, just holding on to the child he has, because Rosalyn already knows what it's like to be an adult, and it's not too pleasant to be honest.
Rosalyn nodded in agreement. Yes, his grandfather was one of the most keen pure-bloods to ever look at muggle things. When Rosie was still in school, she had heard all the people around her talk about him sometimes, how he loved muggle things and always tried to work out how they work. She admired him for that, becuase being muggle-born herself, she respected anyone and everyone who were ineterested in muggle things. She felt like she belonged when pure-bloods took an interest, in not only her, but other muggle-born people's heritage. 'I'm glad that your granfather has taught you so well Chris.' She said, with a genuine smile, and she was.
But then her smile changed into a frown. 'Christopher Weasley, I do not appreciate such comments from a student such as your self.' She said, a soft sigh escaping her red lips. To be honest, Rosalyn didn't see herself as anything special, sure she loked decent, but she didn't know why all thos teenage boys were so obsessed with her, and she didn't want another 'admirer' becuase even though they may think she's good looking, they would know that nothing could ever happen and so they would be disappointed, and start hating her, and shated it when student hated her.
'Of course,' She said, he happy mood changed a bit from Chris's comment. Knowing that his grandfather was muggle things crazy, she had wondered if he would know how to clean these things, and it turns out that he did. Of course, Rosalyn would never dream of cleaning her muggle things with just a cloth, but it was merely a test for Chris, andd he has passed. 'I guess Muggle Studies wan't so medatory for you after all.' She said, with a tiny smile on her face.

"I wouldn't be surprised, im nothing like anyone my age" he said and he was kind of correct, he had a lot of things n his minds like most teenagers from girls to how he looks but then he had things older people had on there mind like settling down and how was he going to pay the bills.. when he's older of course, but then he had thing people younger then him had on there mind 'how can i have fun!'. "But then again theres got to be one person my age out there thats said it, if there isn't then.. well.. i'd be like rely weird" he said and in his head it was true, if he was the only one he was the minority and the minority were the ones that are not 'normal' which are the majority. im turning all.. wise he thought trying to stop himself from spreading more random wisdom.
"Well it was that or my Grandmother teaching me how to clean and cook" he said letting out a laugh then added "But i can cook a chicken to perfection" he then smiled to himself, he had cooked a chicken to perfection.. once.. the last time he had done in fact but the times before that he had burnt it but the good thing about his grandmother was she was patient if she was teaching you something i bet i know lot more then most students here about living he thought then suddenly found himself challenging himself when i leave Hogwarts im going to find a hut away from humans and wizards and live off the land and animals i can look after he thought then suddenly changed his mind as there were way to many faults in that plan.
Chris smiled as she said she didnt appreciate comments like the one he had made "Well i take it back.. as a student, but as Christopher Weasley it remains, i know nothings going to happen.. i know it cant but your good looking, take pride in it or i'll compliment you untill you do" he said smiling slightly even if he still kind o was flirting at the same level as he had before he had worded it so it didnt seem that way, it was worded as a friendly compliment but he was still flirting. "Oh and dont worry im not going to have a little boy crush on you, even if you are good looking" he added then took the washing up liquid and hot water she summoned for him and walked over to a chair.
Chris poured some of the washing up liquid into the water making it go bubbly then dipped in the cloth and began to rub at the chair. "I guess so, but if your going to be disappointed that you wont get to see me in your lessons i guess i'll have to get into detentions more eh?" he said joking and slightly flirting but then again nearly everything Chris said was in a flirtatious manner. "Of course your going to have to get to punish me before all the other good looking female teachers"

Rose had to admit that she was actually kind of fascinated with the things that Chris said. Sure it was kind of weird, but he seemed more mature than most people his age, and Rosalyn totally respected that. 'Now, why on earth would you say that you're not like anyone your age?' She asked, a soft frown settling on her clear features. 'You may be more... mature, but you still think about things that sixteen year old boys think about too.' She said, knowing that she was right, seeing as then he would have to be a hundred year old boy in the skin of a sixteen year old, which would be.. well.. creepy. 'I guess there may be someone out there, who is as young, thinking of those things, but that was the first time that a student has ever said that to me, and I guess you've got my respect on that.' She smiled, a toothy grin. This was turning out not to be as bad, but she was quite positive that he would turn his Slyhterin self again, and then it would all go unpleasant.
Rosalyn wasn't sure that she was surprised that Chris could cook, but it was probably like she had expected. With the grandparents that he has, learning those things were inevitable. 'I'm glad you've chose the muggle things,' Rosalyn said jokingly, sitting up on the table, resting one of her thighs on it, and resting her hand on that. When she made herself comfortable, and looked back at Chris. 'So, did you enjoy your muggle lessons with your granfather?' She asked, genuine curiousity in her green eyes. Sure that sounded like something a friend would say, but she was interested in the ways that Chris was brought up and still put into Slytherin. 'I'm sorry for being so blunt with my questions, you don't have to answer if you don't want to.' She said, and smiled. Rosie ran a hand through her medium lenght brown hair. The strange thing about that was that she has never dies it, but in the summer months the sun may have done the trick, so now her hair looks as if it has highlights.
'Chris, I do appreciate you taking it back as a student, but that's not the point. The point is that you're just sixteen and you think of twenty-four year old women as good looking.' She said, seriously, hopin that she had put him off by the mention of her age. She hoped that he imagined her as a wrinkled old lady at this moment in time, and would never think of her as good looking again. Sure Rosalyn was fairly pretty, but she didn't consider herself as all that good looking. She seemed kind of plain compared to people like Headmisstress Malfoy, and a few others around the school. She has never thought herself prettier than other people, and she has lived happily with that knowledge. 'So, Please don't comment like that on me again, or I'll have to go back to calling you Mr. Weasley again,' Rosalyn said, only joking about the second part, becuase she didn't like to make her students uncomfortable.
'I don't think I mentioned anything about a boy crush Chris, but I'm glad to hear it anyway.' She smiled, and it was true. The relief was great, she didn't like teenage boys crushing over her, she just didn't see the reason as to why they would in the first place. Rosalyn let out a sigh. There he was back again, to the witty comments. 'Are we back to our witty comments Mr. Weasley?' She asked, a stern expression on her face, he just wan't going to let this go and she knew it. So what that he was a Wasley, He was a Slytherin and from her past Hogwarts experience she knew that Slytherins never gave up. Then, she suddenly jumped off of the table, and clapped her hands together in two series of short claps. 'Now, enough of the chitter chatter, get back to work.' She smiled, and walked back to the other end of her table and took a seat. She had a feeling that this detention is going to take long.

Chris smiled as she began to ask questions "I say im not like anyone my age because.. well im not, i may not let it show but my brains verry different" he said simply as he scrubbed away at the chair, not realy concentrating that much on the chair but more on the conversation in hand. "I think of the same thing and more" he said simply then added "and sometimes less" then he actually looked to make sure he was cleaning the chair or just scrubbing in the same spot. "Well if ive got your respect im doing something right" he said smiling at her then looking back at the chair knowing the conversation was pointless if he did a rubbish job on the chair.
"Well i may be able to cook but its the mess afterwards i dont like and muggle stuff isn't as messy" he said smirking slightly, he didnt mind a mess but the cleaning up was the part that annoyed him, his room at home was a mess but he knew where everything was so it was to him organised. His dorm room was only clean because someone cleaned it while he was a sleep, not that he was complaining any one of the people he shared a dorm with could clean to there hearts content. Chris let her speak thinking for while then said "They were ok, they'll come in hand in future.. and its ok ask away, ive got nothing to hide about my past" he said, it may have been a lie but the chances where she wouldn't ask any questions that meant he had to give an answer he didnt want to give.
"Look Professor Rowett, you could be one hundred and ninety nine but if you looked good for you age i'd call you good looking, and you are" he told her simply, he wasnt going to take it back so she would have to just accept it and get on with her life.. if she could. Chris was almost finished scrubbing the chair and he couldnt help but think he had done a pretty good job considering he'd been talking to Rosalyn. "You can call me whatever you like, your good looking" he said simply standing up to admire his work with the chair.
"Like i said, im not like anyone my age, i dont crush on people" he said, that was a lie he had once a few years ago but not anymore, he had learnt from his mistakes and was as solid as stone when it came to his emotions, he knew what he wanted to feel and who for and he would never let them just pick some random good looking girl to have a crush on. "Oh come on your loving it" he joked slightly when she mentioned his comments. "If you hadnt notice, ive been chitter chattering while ive been working" chris said motioning to the chair, he now moved onto a toilet that sat in the corner of the room at least nobody has used it he thought to himself. What Chris was saying, it made Rosalyn's train of thought change, and ask questions rather than make assumptions. She let ehat Chris was saying sink in, before she answered. 'I think that it is quite obvious from your behaviour that you're different Christopher, but that isn't always a good thing, or even a bad thing.' She said, she may not be making any sense to Chris, but she was making a whole lot of sense to herself, and that was what counted right? Wrong, she was a teacher, and she had to make sure that the pupil understood what she was saysing, and instead of assuming that Chris understood her, she asked him. 'Do you know what I mean?' She asked, a quirk of her brow and a raise of the corner of her mouth. 'You may have my respect, but not all the teachers know what you've just told me, so they might think something different, I guess what I'm saying is, don't be too happy about it, I'm not the only person around.' She smiled genuinely, somehow this was turning out better than she thought, and she was glad that Chris was different than the other Slytherins.
She smiled, that was such a teenage attitude about tidying up. It's not that the kids were lazy, they just couldn't be bothered. 'I on the other hand, love cleaning up, I'm a perfectionist that way and I guess it relaxes me.' She confessed, and she was quite surprised how easy that came out. It wasn't a secret, but she's never dream of telling something like that to her stundets, but she did. And that was a shock. 'Well, I guess you don't really need to know about me.' She said, knowing that she was not interesting one little bit. There were more interesting adults around, take the Headmisstress for example, she married a slytherin and thats an interesting aspect of her past, and Roslyn had nothing like that. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she thought about that, but in a way she was relieved, becuase then she'd feel like a freak show, and she was quite paranoid about things like that.
Rosalyn sighed heavily now. 'Look Chris. Please stop with the complimets, its highly inappropriate, and I don't appreciate it. If you carry on, I'll have to give you another detention, and this time not with me.' She said, happy with what she said. Chris was out of order, and kind of disrespectful for disobeying her wishes. Her view kind of changed now, and this detention was going down tot he dumps, and she wasn't liking that. Sure she liked a chat with her student, they were quite fun to talk to, and she proved that she wasn't as boring as most professors, but if the evening was to turn out that way, then she wouldn't be too happy, and she'd like to just maybe, somehow not go to bed pissed at herself, or Chris for disrespecting her. She was high on things like that, and it was one of her flaws. She wanted respect, not attention, people didn't actually have to like her, but she wanted respect.
'Actually, you're wrong in acssuming that Mr, Weasley, I am not liking it.' She frowned, and even when she did her features could not look fierce. She always looked soft, and that was a disadvantage. 'I have noticed that, but that;s not the point of my comment Christopher.' She smield as he chose to clean the toilet next. Sure no ones used it, but she still didn't like cleaning toilets, and wouldn't have chosen that. It just wasn't nice. 'Nice choice of equipment to clean,' She winked in a friendly way. She smiled, and looked back to her work, just letting him get on with it. She had a lot of work to do, and so did he. This was going to be a long day.
