This was it, the first lesson of the year. Hermione had given the students all of September to settle in and make sure they had everything they needed for the year ahead of them, and ensure they had time to get the stuff they needed if they didn't have it. If anyone turned up to her lesson without the textbooks they'd need, they'd be in for a shock.
Pushing open the door of her classroom, she flicked her wand once and the room burst to life. The curtains were pulled aside and sunlight flooded into the room. Dust from the tables vanished and formed a pile in the corner of the room, before being swept up and put into the bin. The 'eraser' jumped from the front desk and began wiping the chalkboard, and parchment flew from the cupboards, leaving one sheet in front of each seat and moving on to the next.
Sitting down at the desk at the front of the classroom, she awaited the arrival of her students. Three Gryffindors, a Ravenclaw, and two Slytherins. Hermione was glad to see the name of her eldest daughter amongst those studying Charms that year, though it was probably due to Hermione's constant questioning over the summer as to what subjects she intended to take, and prompting her towards choosing her subject.

Stepping out of the common room wasn't as simple a task as it would have you believe. Twice she realised she had forgotten something rather important and had to return to her dormitory to pick it up. A small sigh reached her lips, as she came across the green area again, returning to grab her Charms textbook. She had considered walking off without it, having already forgotten something else only a few minutes ago, but she knew the risks she was taking all too well. If she walked into that classroom without the required equipment, she'd probably be walking out without a head. She glanced down at the glossy cover of the new book she was holding and knew already that it was much better not to take that risk.
Approaching the floor on which the Charms classroom was to be found, she was quite surprised that she only seemed to pass much younger students on her journey. Where were all the other Charms students? Surely she wasn't in this class by herself? That would be he- deeply unpleasant. As much as she loved her mother. She couldn't tolerate a whole lesson of Charms by herself. Especially when it had been noted that her Charms ability was well.. dire, sometimes. She highly doubted that she would even be standing anywhere near the classroom, if it hadn't been for her parents' input over the holidays.
Pausing for a few seconds, she walked into the room. Noting how bright it was, she blinked slightly and readjusted her view of the room. Unable to reach a final decision about where she should sit, she took a seat towards the middle of the room and set the textbooks upon the wooden desk. A small yawn escaped her lips, as she focused on the woman before her, before addressing her. "Will it always be this bright in here?" [/blockquote]

Chris let out a yawn as he jumped out of his bed, he looked across at a clock that was the opposite side of the room, it took a moment for his eyes to adjust then he realised the time CRAP! Chris thought throwing on some robes, looking rather scruffy, but he usualy did anyway. He grabbed some books from the side flipped his and into his pocket and bit the head of a chocolate frog he had been saving, but he needed the sugar.
Chris Rushed down to the charms classroom, it was just as he was in the corridor he realised that the clock in his dorm was always fast DAMMIT! he thought realising he was early and the only people who would be there would either be realy nerdy or teachers. here we go Chris said stepping into the classroom, after his eyes had adjusted to the brightness he was rather shocked to see the Malfoy's, well he had predicted Hermione but Jaslene he hadnt. this might get awkward Chris thought walking in "Hey" he said simply then let out a rather large yawn. ugh i should have realised the clock was fast and got some extra z's.
Chris walked over to a desk near the front where he dumped his books on the table and slid into the seat, he realized that Slytherins never sat at the front but by sitting at the front some ravenclaws or Gryffindors would get annoyed and there was no way he could get told off. Chris just sat there for a moment before crossing his arms on the desk and burrowing his head in them jut to relax slightly, he had often fallen to sleep in lessons in this position, he hoped that considering this was with the headmistress it wasnt going to happen. Kaleb threw back the covers of his bed and sat on the edge of it. He rested his head in his hands for a second, and rubbed his eyes to rid them of the sleep. It was cold, as expected, after all, he was in the Slytherin common room! Cold rooms for cold hearts, in his opinion! He stood up and glanced around, before throwing on his robes and leaving the dorm and walking into the common room. He placed himself comfortably into a chair next to the fire for five minutes to heat himself up. The house elf's made sure that there was a fire roaring every second of the day, and this chair was his prefered seat in the entire room. He would sit there more than any other place. After he was warm enough, he got up and wandered out of the common room and into the corridor. He had Charmes first, and seen as it was first lesson with the head, he figured he shouldn't be late. He headed up the stairs, and through the corridors of Hogwarts until he reached the door.
Kaleb paused outside the door, and ran his hand through his hair, so it looked like he'd been out flying. He loved to fly, it was the one thing that he cared about as much as girls, and he would do nothing to mess up any chances of a win. He pushed open the door, his sexy smirk taking over his lips. He took a seat at the back of the class, where the head wouldn't notice him, incase he did drop off. He leant back in his chair, and took a look around the room. Jaslene was there already, that surprised Kale, as if his parent was the teacher, he would avoid that class as much as he could! Although, his parents weren't the teaching type. And sat right at the front was Christopher Weasley. Both Slytherins, go figure! No one that he hadn't seen before. He was hoping for some nice girl from another house that hadn't heard of his reputation yet. Although, some girls liked that he had a reputation, while others despised him for it. Until some hot girls turned up, this lesson was destined to go slow for Kale. [/blockquote]

Sahara, stood with her books, and her supplies outside the door of the class room, she was scared out of her mnd, why? It was ackward going into a classroom for the first time, every year it got harder.
She sighed and nudged the door open, she walked down the rows of desk, surprised by the number of people late, she had read the roster there should be more then just three people here at the moment. She sighed she looked around, where should she sit, where did a Hufflepuff belong. She sighed and walked to the far corner of the room where a window let streams of sun in, perfect, she sat down calmy and laid her head on her books, so tired. She sighed this was a bad day to have class. She had stayed up studying her stupid charm book, just in case.
She turned her head to look oever the Slytherin students that had arrived, she wondered who they were and if they were all foul as most Slytherin were, mostly they were but she was willing to give a chance, thats the best thing you could do. She yawned raising her head she looked out the window, rain, well atleast it was somthing. Now to smile and hope for the best, you can never stop smiling. Sahara placed a grin on her face and looked to the front of the class, lets ge through this Sahara, we can do this. She told herself.

So there he stood just outside the classroom with a map still in his hand. He held the map high and looked at the top of the entrance to the classroom. Yep this is it. He said to him self as butterflies had started to hatch from their cocoon in his stomach. The sickly feeling soon spread around his body. He was still new to the school and therefore had justified enough to why he was holding a map to attend his class. Hogwarts after all was a very big castle and finding these classrooms was a mission enough as it is.
"Uh, Excuse me." He said as he made his way into the classroom one step at a time as his eyes scanned the whole room noticing how different it was compared to his muggle sporting school. His eyes then looked at the other students in the classroom. It was here he felt rather intimidated for some reason. "Is this the Charms classroom?" he asked as he checked his timetable just in case. "I'm Lorenzo Antonio De`Corumest. I'm new here and kind of hoping this is where I am meant to be." he said nervously as he stood still holding his scroll with one hand and the other holding his books as he looked around anxiously biting onto his bottom lip slightly.
He didn't know why he didn't have what the other students had and this made him start to go into his panic mode slightly. " May I sit here?" he asked and rushed toward the corner seat at the end of the classroom on the left side. He placed all his stuff on the table and kept his head down to avoid any eye contact from the students or Professor and would only talk now on when addressed to. Hope this lesson will be fun and quick. Mostly quick, He said as he picked up a book and started skimming through the pages not really understanding some of the writing or words or even what they were for.

Samantha made her way down the corridor casually, not in much of a rush. She didn't think she was late. Samantha Lichtsheidl was never late to class. That was a rule of hers. She had a small black bag slung on her arm containing her books, parchment, and some quills that she would need for lessons. She was dressed in her Ravenclaw robes, and her wand was tucked in the inside pocket.
She entered the room, and found it rather comfy. Not too dark, and not too bright. Almost perfect. Hell, almost as perfect as Samantha herself. Almost. She took a glance around the room, deciding that she didn't want to sit next to any of these other people. They just weren't good enough for her. She took a seat in a middle row, placing her bag on the desk, and beginning to rummage through it, for the moment ignoring her surroundings.

After having waitied for what had seemed quite a while, Hermione was beginning to grow impatient. Where were the students, and why were so many of them late? Glancing up at the clock she realised the mistake she had made. The lesson was to begin at half past, though Hermione had prepared everything for it to begin at the o' clock. It wasn't long before the first students began arriving to the lesson, her daughter Jaslene amongst them. Smiling as she complained about how bright it was, Hermione waved her wand, the windows becoming slightly tinted, dulling the room slightly though keeping it well lit.
"Is that better?" She asked the young Malfoy, before noting the arrival of Christopher and Kaleb. The first three people arriving to her lesson being in Slytherin definitely surprised her, though she couldn't say that she wasn't pleased. It was so nice to see people straying from the stereotype. She returned Chris' greeting, before picking up her quill and putting a tick next to the names of the three students in the room, adding another beside the names of Sahara and Lorenzo, the latter of which seemed nervous and unsure as to whether he was in the right place.
"Yes Mr. De`Corumest, this is the Charms classroom." Hermione replied with a smile, before adding a tick to Samantha's name. Looking around the room, it appeared that most of the students were there and ready, with only a few names on her list that did not bear a tick, all of whom were in Gryffindor, much to Hermione's surprise.
With the start of the year having only dawned on the school about a week ago, both Hermione and the students would want a quick and easy lesson, some so much that they had decided to skip the lesson. Come to think of it, there wasn't really all that much point in having come to the lesson.
"Well everybody, welcome to a new year, and welcome to Charms. This lesson shalln't be too long, I can assure you that now. You all know how to behave, whether this is your first year or not, you're old enough that you shouldn't need to be told. You are to bring both your wand and your textbook to each lesson, parchment and quills will be provided for you. That's all that needs to be said, I'll see you next lesson."

Chris sat there staring at Hermione blankly for a moment then hit his head of the desk. WHAT WAS THE POINT! he thought standing up "what the heck was the point of that" he muttered to himself shaking his head slightly heading to the doorway. without even looking back at anyone he headed out woundering what he could do with this unexpected free time he had gained.
Chris stood in the halfway looking to the hallway leading outside then to one the headed to the dungeon, he decided to head outside and go check out the Lake and see what the heck was going on there.
