The corridors were empty, and almost eerie, but Annie was paying no attention to that. As she was walking down the dusty place, the echoes of her shoes were almost audible. A soft tap, tap of her flat shoes, but it wasn't like anyone would hear her. Her icy blue eyes looked dermined, and annoyed. It was a sunday afternoon, and Annie couldn't take it anymore in the common rooms. All that stupid chatter from the Slytherin girls, talking about what amazing kissers their boyfriends are. Well, Annie had kissed more boys than she could count in the last seventeen yars, but ti was still annoying to hear then gush over some other Slytherin or even Ravenclaw and acti like five years old, all that talk made Annie cringe, and that's why she was here on a bloody Sunday afternoon. She would have gone outside, but there was no sun. It was Autumn, which meant that it was cold and windy, and Annie didn't appreciate that.
She was heading down the fifth floor corridor, past a whole row of empty classrooms. As she was wlaking, slowly, she raied her arms and put her hair into a messy pony tail. Then, Annie stopped and turned towards a door. This empty classroom was almost like a hide out for Annie, and escape. Her hands gently touched the handle, and as she pushed down on the handel, she also pushed the door open. It was dark, and dusty, and it had very little sun. The only window in there was a small round thing, right at the top. There hasn't been lessons in this room for as long as Annie could remember, and she knew that it would do well to sneak away here and not risk being caught. When she entered, she threw her bag on the floor, and fell into one of the chairs. She didn't realise that she had left the door open a crack, but that didn't exactly matter. She got out her want, and a pot. Some spell practising would do her good, this girl being Annie Gilbert, she wanted to be the best.

Yet another Autumn day. One that was as dull as all the ones before it. Truly, the Slytherin was so bored, she was starting to miss her lessons. She would have never believed she would say that about the majority of them, excluding Potions, but now, she really wished she had something more interesting to do. On a day like this, most students seemed to be taking to the idea of spending the day inside the castle, not wanting to embrace the cold outside. It seemed a good idea. Not that she would have admitted it, but she agreed with the majority. Whoever came up with the idea of placing Slytherins in the dark and cold, was obviously insane, or seriously misguided. Why would anyone want to live in the cold? Not many healthy people enjoyed spending time in such a place.
Stepping slowly along the long corridors leading towards the fourth floor, she walked past several classrooms, heightening her sense of wanting to learn, in preference of doing something other than finding her own amusement. In Autumn, it was increasingly difficult to find sources of amusement. It was generally too windy or cold to walk about freely. As she walked past the next classroom, her attention was caught by the slender figure of a blonde girl, whom she recognised only too well. Of course, on a day where Jaslene wasn't feeling too sociable, it had to be her, of all people. Actually, it didn't matter who she was. The blonde girl had the sudden realisation that anyone she recognised would have been equally annoying.
There was just something about this particular girl, that rubbed up the wrong way, and no, as she had told many others, it was not because they were quite similar. In truth, Jaslene and Annie Gilbert seemed to go as far apart as it was possible to be, in order to avoid such similarities. Not knowing how the other girl really felt, and not really caring either, she decided to make the most of the options open to her. If that meant tolerating her 'friend', then she was going to do so. She stepped inside the classroom, observing the other girl's behaviour. Who knew, if she was really lucky, she might just see Annie Gilbert mess things up. Oh, what a joy that would be.

Annie wasn't at all focused on what she was doing, just playing around with her wand, and whispering random spells. Even though Annie wasn't all that focused on what she was doing, she was still shocked to not hear, but feel someone behind her, and she already knew who it would be. But still from the shock she turned around, and shouted 'Incarcerous!' which let ropes flying out, and wrap Jaslene from top to bottom. Annie stiffled a giggle, after she calmed down from being snuck up on. 'I'm sorry Jaslene, I didn't know it was you.' When she did really. It seemed to anyone observing that Jaslene Malfoy and Annie Gilbert got one, but was that really the case? In all trueh, yes Annie found the girl tolerable, but she didn't consider either of them to be friends.
For a fact, Annie knew that the girl had spoken about her behind her back, and vice versa, but still. Annie had never really considered Jaslene as a friend, merely acquaintance. In an audince, the girls pretended to get along, but probably everyone knew that they didn't get along too well, but to eachother they were 'nice'. Annie smiled sweetly, and went to untie the ropes that she had put Jaslene in, but didn't say another word. After that was done, she looked to the girl and said; 'How come's you're here?'

If she were still hoping that she’d witness some sort of mistake coming from her fellow Slytherin, it seemed she’d be waiting a long time indeed. Shame that. It would have really brightened up this meeting. Not to mention provide her with a nice piece of knowledge to use against her. Saying that, she really shouldn’t have been criticising Annie’s wand work, when most of her own lacked above average talent. She didn’t know why, but the practical areas of magic were so much more her style. Charms, in particular, she found difficult.
She really hated the fact that both of her parents had united over the issue of carrying on this subject further than OWL Level. Honestly, were they using this as some of punishment? Apparently, according to them, Charms was an important NEWT to pass, in order to get a good career in the wizarding world. She was so bored and tired of doing a subject that she struggled with. Make no mistake; there were people who were worse. But there were also several that were significantly better. Not that many people knew. She usually managed to persuade the teacher not to make her demonstrate her Charms ability in front of the class.
She wasn’t impressed by the girl’s excuses for tying her body in thick ropes. She knew as well as Annie did that she had known she was standing there. Her justification did her no favours. Avoiding the temptation to hit the girl, she straightened her robes and took a few steps forward. If she was going to remain here, for however long, she wanted to make sure she was comfortable. She returned the same sweet, yet fake smile to her friend, still hoping for that desired incident. It was merely a hope, at this stage, however, because she realised, given the other girl’s skill with a wand, she wasn’t likely to make a mistake for a while. Oh well, she’d wait it out.
Ignoring her question, she seated herself on a nearby desk, her slender legs swinging while she watched the girl work. Finally, she seemed it time to give some sort of response, ”I was just passing. But then I saw you. And seeing as we’ve undoubtedly missed each other, I thought I’d give us the opportunity to catch up.” She paused, gazing at the equipment laid out beside her company, ”You’re not too busy, I hope? I do so look forward to our time together.” Her blue eyes flickering over each item a few more times, she turned to face the other Slytherin, addressing her with the same forced smile. "What are you doing down here?" she asked, the smallest amount of curiosity entering her voice. [/blockquote]
