WHO WOULD HAVE EVER KNEWt h a t w e w o u l d e v e r b e m o r e t h a n f r i e n d s ! WE'RE REAL WORLDWIDE, BREAKIN' ALL THE RULES- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - With all that had been going on lately, from Chris to those Dalton kids turning up, she'd not had a minute to herself, because everyone was just hounding each other with gossip that had been repeated ten thousand times a day. And Annie had tired of it quickly, so she was going to go grab some space of her own because she needed some air and some time to relax. So she'd dragged on a pair of shorts, a pretty blue top and some blue heels, and headed out. She didn't know where she'd go at first, but she chose to go to somewhere that she'd not been before, so she just began to wander around little, and see where that got her. She couldn't go outside, as the heels were not acceptable footwear for grass. Especially seen as it had been raining earlier so she was not going to ruin her hells. God she sounded like a prissy girl! but the heels were pretty, and she did like fashion, just not to the extent that some girls did.
So Annie let her feet wander, and she climbed steps upon steps, until she reached the top. She recognised this place as the astronomy tower, and although she'd been there before, it had been a long while, so she decided that this place was a good spot. She walked over to the bars that separated the floor from the edge. She leant over a little and smiled as she saw the view which was so pretty, as she was up pretty high! It had been a long while since her eyes had taken in that view! The last time she remembered being up here was when she and one of her old friends had came up here with a midnight picnic that lasted an hour, and had been a great laugh! They told jokes and funny stories and just had a genuinely good night! They still talked to each other often, but they weren't as close as before! It was a shame really seeing as they were such good friends!

Of course, she had no idea how the rest of her family members were faring, but she couldn’t imagine they were thinking it to be much better. It must have been bad, because she hadn’t seen any of them, on her wandering round the castle. Obviously she knew that the school was quite a big place, but it still didn’t explain the absence of every single Dalton, excepting herself. Maybe they were all settling into life in their new common rooms. She hoped this latter idea wasn’t true, as the chances of her seeing any of her relatives after this would be very slim indeed. The more she studied the school, its buildings, the students, and the dull teachers, the more she came to dislike it. She couldn’t see the attraction of staying here for the majority of your teenage life, at all, and was starting to suspect that most of the other students might be slightly insane.
This was something that you might call a hasty conclusion, but the sixteen year old was known for making quick decisions, even on important topics. Besides, the students she had already had the misfortune to meet (and in some cases, been forced to make conversation with some of them) didn’t exactly persuade her that they were entirely normal. Half of them walked around, talking to themselves, the other half screamed answers at their friends and ran around, like they were in some sort of mad rush to get to their next lessons. It wasn’t right. Sure, some of them occasionally reminded her of a few of her family, but she tried not to dwell on this observation. It was probably evident to most of the students, and most of the professors, by now, that whatever they did, or whatever happened to the girl, she was unlikely to accept it in the typical manner of either a Gryffindor or a typical student. In fact, she was attempting to be as difficult as she could possibly be. She didn’t care for either the castle walls, or whatever it held within them.
In a rather desperate attempt to distance herself from as many annoying average people as physically feasible, she’d run off to the highest levels of Hogwarts. It was complicated to explain, but as soon as she saw the towers, she’d figured that not many of the other students would venture there. It seemed the perfect place to sit, perhaps even come to acknowledge that at least one part of this stupid prison wasn’t that bad. It would have been perfect as well, had it not been for the sudden view of another person standing nearby. Feeling like she wanted to hit her head repeatedly against a brick wall, she tried her best to ignore this unsatisfactory feeling and gave a small sigh of disapproval. “Oh fantastic,”
her voice became somewhat more exasperated as she continued, “Another student. What luck!” Being unable to think about the needs or wants of other people, she couldn’t work out why the girl couldn’t come back later, or something? Really, any other time would be fine with her. As she surveyed the other girl, it abruptly dawned on her that she might never find this tiny piece of peace and solitude that she so desired. It seemed a big drop, so she doubted that unless someone used magic they would be able to survive the plummet and hit the ground standing. She supposed that someone could use a spell to make like a giant mattress, and have that appear on the ground. She was sure she’d read about that somewhere, probably from some library book in the past. Annie heard a voice behind her and she scoffed at what the kid had said. She turned around, her eyebrows raised, and surveyed the girl. ”Excuse me? Want to say that to my face and not my back, coward?”
She said with a mad look on her face. Annie got mad easily and often, although her temper was usually calmer since she’d been with Chris, as all her frustration could be put into witty comebacks and banter for their talks. But she hadn’t seen Chris today, and she was a bit temperamental as someone was interrupting her peace. Annie didn’t recognise the girl, and she frowned, as she wanted to know who the hell she thought she was. ”Who the hell are you to talk to me like that?” She said, glaring at the stupid, peace interrupting girl. How dare she? Couldn’t she tell that Annie wanted some alone time to relax and chill and just enjoy the silence and the view? Annie had made it perfectly clear in the tone of voice she used that she wanted to be alone, and didn’t appreciate this kids way of speaking.[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LEAVEMYDOOROPENJUSTACRACK ((T A K E M E A W A Y F R O M H E R E)) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It was becoming all the more clear to her now, why she hated this place already. The kids here were not only lacking in mental capacity, but also apparently lacking in some manners. She raised an eyebrow at the manner in which she had been addressed. Normally, she wouldn’t have stood for it, resorting to other actions to get her opinion of the girl across, but it had been a long day, in spite of of the time, and she really couldn’t be bothered to resort to the same anger as the person facing her. “If you were paying attention, rather than throwing abuse around, babe, you’d have realised that I wasn’t talking to you.”
It was true. Everything she had said aloud, in the past few minutes, were observations made for her own self-benefit. So really, there was no need whatsoever for the girl to call her such names. She was starting to hate Hogwarts all the more, with every second that passed, and this girl really wasn’t helping to alter her first impressions of the school. One might have called it odd, but Evelyn wasn’t instantly put off by the girl’s behaviour. She was more intrigued than anything else. At least it wouldn’t be as boring as she had originally anticipated, with rashly behaving children such as her present company. “Who am I?” she repeated, with a tone of surprise. The girl didn’t know? What a strange situation to find herself in. She’d presumed that everyone would know roughly who she was. “I’m a Dalton, and regardless of who you are, that name demands respect.” She’d have understood the girl’s angry disposition if she’d come along and started a fight, or thrown abuse at the other girl first, but truly, she hadn’t done anything to offend or harm the girl. Obviously she just had some issues. “Of course, I’m in the same situation as yourself, and can’t place a name onto you, but I’m guessing you’re probably a Slytherin with such a prickly attitude.” She didn’t know if she was right, but that was the impression she was definitely getting. She couldn’t imagine any of the other houses owning such a rude student. Glancing at the girl again, she couldn’t stop herself but wonder as to the girl’s blood status. Surely she couldn’t be a pureblooded witch, with that kind of behaviour towards innocent members of society? Of course, Evie was the most tolerant of the Daltons in terms of accepting people from other backgrounds, but she still wasn’t all that comfortable talking to Mudbloods. The girl should really count herself lucky that she was faced with Evelyn, rather than any of the others, who were, shall we say, somewhat less tolerant. She crossed her arms and moved towards the other edge of the tower, as though meticulously intending to ignore the irritated expressions of the other student completely. “Honestly,” she said, with a small bout of attention fixed to the red-headed girl, “I know it’s all unfamiliar and everything, but you might want to tone down on the bitchy front. It’s not attractive.” comments││ none to speak of. outfit││ click the link! lyrics││ fireflies by owl city word count││ five hundred and sixteen. status││ completed, oh yes. credit││ hoes to caitlin_express@CAUTION 2.0<3[/blockquote][/blockquote]

WHO WOULD HAVE EVER KNEWt h a t w e w o u l d e v e r b e m o r e t h a n f r i e n d s ! WE'RE REAL WORLDWIDE, BREAKIN' ALL THE RULES- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Annie scoffed as the other girl called her babe. "Excuse me, but who the hell are you to call me babe? Don't. And oh, talking to yourself then? If I knew you were crazy I wouldn't have said anything"
Annie said with a smirk. No one called her babe unless she actually got on with them, like Chris or something. But not this random and mad girl she was talking to now, who she'd met all of five minutes ago. Who was she anyway? And why was she not locked up in st Mungo's if she was crazy? Sure, Annie didn't really think that, and talking to yourself was fine, as long as no one else was around to hear, because otherwise things could get awkward, and fast. Annie didn't even really care what this girl thought about her, she just wanted something to make the day more interesting, because it had been pretty boring so far, and Annie couldn't have that! She needed something to make her day more interesting, and this little fight, if that was what it was, would be just the ticket. Annie noted the tone of surprise in the chicks voice, and she raised her eyebrows and shook her head. How could she have a head so inflated? No, Annie didn't know who she was, did she have a problem with that? The way she introduced herself told Annie that she expected everyone to know her. "Oh no! A Dalton! Do forgive my rudeness." Annie said sarcastically. "Demands? Well honey, I'm a Carter, and I don't give into demands unless there's something in it for me. So go make your demands to someone who gives a damn" Annie said sweetly. She couldn't believe the nerve on this girl! Just because she was a Dalton, did she think she owned the school or something? Not a chance. Annie wasn't bending to the will of this girl, and there was no way that she'd give the girl respect because of the name. If you wanted Annie's respect, you had to earn it. That was the same for everybody, and it was going to be no different for the Dalton's either. "Gryffindor actually. If you want to see a Slytherin, go find a mirror." Annie said with a smirk. She wasn't a Slytherin, but she knew that they weren't as bad as everyone made out. She knew because of Chris. Although maybe that was just one example. Anne wondered that if this girl knew of Annie's blood status, would she treat Annie better? Annie didn't like that, judging people based on blood, but she knew that the Dalton's were famous for it. God forbid that a Dalton should fall in love with a half blood or muggle born witch or wizard, that would be a catastrophe! She imagined what the parents would say to that, as she knew that they probably wouldn't be the happiest of people if one of the children had to say that they loved someone who's blood wasn't pure. "Honestly, don't give me tips on what's attractive and what's not, because it seems that I have a boyfriend, and he doesn't care. And besides that, I'm willing to bet that however attractive you make yourself, you can't chose who you can love because your restricted by the anal views of your parents and their reaction to blood purity" Annie said, matter of factly. She knew that would be the case, as that was how it was with all the pure blood families.[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - LEAVEMYDOOROPENJUSTACRACK ((T A K E M E A W A Y F R O M H E R E)) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Rolling her eyes at the girl’s offended face on hearing the previous reply, she answered the girl’s question, even though it didn’t seem much like a question that the redhead would want a response to. But if the other girl was fully intending to do this whole ‘I was-here-first-get lost’ thing, she’d return the kind gesture. She didn’t see why she couldn’t have as much right to be standing there as the angry girl. “Not crazy, no”
she responded offhandedly, as though seriously considering the girl’s diagnosis of her behaviour. “Everybody talks to himself or herself at one point,” she stated casually, still avoiding the same heat that her companion seemed to be bringing to the conversation. “Anyway, I’d much rather talk to myself than most of the losers here.” It was true as well. Given the choice right now, she’d much rather talk to herself than the people she’d met as of today. She couldn’t even understand the language that most of the younger teenagers used. She wasn’t going to waste her time translating every last sentence they spoke, just in the faint hope of a decent conversation. Knowing all too well that the girl was using sarcasm with her exclamation, she chose to disregard this and take the girl’s words as though she had been speaking entirely genuinely. “I wouldn’t beat yourself up about it. I can choose to overlook that particular event.” Mimicking the sugary sweet tone of the other girl, she shrugged, thinking nothing important about the next statement. “Never heard of the Carters. Not a very interesting family then?” To be honest, Evie had yet to learn of a lot of other magical families. The only ones she knew, she knew through some sort of distant pureblood relation. She raised an eyebrow at the ‘dear’ addresser and gave a small smirk. “And calling me honey after you’ve forbidden the same kind of terms for yourself? Bit of a hypocrite there, aren’t we, Carter?” She couldn’t stop herself from adding the last bit. Not only was it the truth, she also felt a little bit of satisfaction once the statement reached the air. “I know you’re all proud of that comment and everything, but really you couldn’t be any further from the truth. I’m a Gryffindor Dalton.” She laughed at the girl’s attempt at being standoffish, paying almost no attention whatsoever to the girl’s ever-changing expression, including her smirks, until another thought corresponding to her last words occurred to her, “The only one, in fact.” Evelyn had always found it slightly odd that she was the only child in the Dalton family to be sorted into the lion house. She couldn’t even see the qualities that Gryffindor prided in herself. They seemed much more appropriate for some of her other relatives. Her thoughts about her family linked her attention to the next sentences that came out of the girl’s mouth. “Firstly, Carter, I don’t actually recall ever mentioning anything about your relationship status. If you got the impression that I was interested, I’m sorry to have to destroy those false beliefs, believe me when I say you could have been married for seventeen years, with four children, and I would care as much as I do now.” At the remark about what her family restricted or forbade, she felt an instant desire to fight against this stupid claims. Most of them had some basis in truth, but the Carter girl wasn’t to know that. She was probably just hazarding rough guesses, drawing on her little knowledge of similar pure-blooded families. “And you can bet whatever you like, it wouldn’t make any difference. I’ll have you know that my family aren’t actually stuck in the dark ages, like your stereotypes obviously are, and would always consider potential love interests." It was a bit more than slightly offensive of this girl to just start accusing her parents of controlling her life, without even knowing about them. "Not that it really matters. I’m not about to find my future partner wandering around these halls, given the behaviour of the students, none of them could ever be good enough for me, so I really can’t see any problems.” There was no way, in Evelyn’s mind that she would ever choose someone that wasn’t of equal blood status as her, certainly she would choose any of the prospective partners her parents intended over the boys she’d had to endure over the past however many hours. She had higher standards than to settle for one of them. comments││ none to speak of. outfit││ click the link! lyrics││ fireflies by owl city word count││ seven hundred and eighteen. status││ completed, oh yes. credit││ hoes to caitlin_express@CAUTION 2.0<3[/blockquote][/blockquote]
