Although Anemone is a rather level-headed young woman, even she had succumbed to the greatest threat to teenagers everywhere: teenage angst. Lately, she had been feeling sad, lethargic, borderline pathetic in the way she acted. She was lonely when she was alone and moody when in the company of her friends. In order to preserve her already tense relationships with them, she had come to the clock tower whenever she could. Hopefully, the high altitude would cool her off.
The most irritating thing of all was that she wasn't even sure what had ruffled her feathers so badly. Try as she may, she couldn't find a single source or even a vague idea. She felt like she was trying to catch air with a net. Whenever she felt that she was going to go all introspective and possibly, aggressive, she brought herself here to the clock tower. The loud gongs left her no atmosphere for her to run a miserable commentary in her mind. It was distracting and soothing. If she wasn't sure she was going to lose her hearing sooner or later, she would stay here more often even if she was in a good mood.
She had plenty of things to do tonight - a lot of homework to finish and a few letters to reply to. Although she would love it, she couldn't stay here any longer. She had wasted enough of her time. She had left partway through dinner to come here and it was almost past curfew. With a weary sigh, Anemone picked herself up from the ground and stretched. She would have walked away without a backwards glance but caught a dark blur out of the corner of her eye. "Hello? Hey, come out!" She really wasn't in the mood for a confrontation tonight.

Trevor took one swift look around him, throughly confused as to how he had ended up where he stood now. After only a couple short moments, he realized where he was, but that only happened to confuse him more. He crossed his arms over his chest, realizing that it was a tad bit cooler up here. One second he had been mindlessly traveling down the corridor, and the next he had found himself in the clock tower, of all obscene places. His feet had taken him here on their own accord, he concluded. Perhaps, though, this would be a great place to get his mind off of his current struggles and confusions.
His mind was so cluttered lately that he hadn't had time for any of his usual worthwhile pranks. Nor did he have the actual drive to pull of a prank. It was rather depressing, and Trev didn't like this mood one bit. This was most likely some sort of phase he was going through, though, and with time, it would pass. Now he would just wait until he was his loud and obnoxious self again.
His head snapped to the side, sending his blond hair flying as he heard some form of noise. He really didn't expect anyone else to be up here. He took a couple quick steps, to make sure he had hidden himself from her view, but it was too late, and the girl had obviously spotted him. Oddly enough, he really wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. Usually he would take full advantage of a situation like this.
Trevor stepped forward, his arms still crossed over his chest, covering the Hufflepuff crest on his robes, "Don't mind me," he began innocently, "I'm just.. people watching," he finished simply with a light shrug. He looked her up and down, trying to tag a name on her, "What are you up here for?" he asked suddenly, and rather rudely.
