SHALLOW IS & SHALLOW DOES , SOME PEOPLE NEVER CHANGE. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Whats He wearing; clothes Coal had done some pretty dumb things, scared the wrong people, gotten a restraining order on himself, but this might just be the worst thing he has done yet. Coal sat in a cage on the side of a alley with some fat guy watching over him. This may sound weird but thats because Coal wasn't really Coal. He was in his animagus form, a Fox. Now the fat guy had gotten to calling him "Maple", which he didn't like because that sounded girlie, of course being a fox was girlie too. He couldn't change back into being himself because that would hurt because of the cage, and he might find himself in deeper trouble.
So he sat there his fluffy red tail swishing back and forth, worried he was going to end up skinned alive or something absurd like that. How had this happened in the first place you may ask, well. Coal had wanted to prowl around without being noticed by fans, it had been awhile sense he had been in his form, so he figured he'd try it, well i went wrong fast when he was swept into a humane animal trap, thank god, and then found himself thrown into a cage that read "Live Fox". He swore inwardly yelling at himself stupidly for even thinking about doing this in the first place. He wished that someone nice, and not scary would come along and save him. Hopefully someone who didn't collect fur.
He poked his slender nose out of the cage, making a sound that could have been a whine. The fat guy poked him with a stick making him retreat his nose. stupid fat lard butt. Coal complained unable to speak how he felt so he settled on growling. He got poked again and then he just laid down watching people pass by, some staring at him with curiosity, as if they had never seen a damn fox before! Well then at least get me out of here! He stared at them with pure hate.

the stars lean down to kiss youand i lie awake and miss you--------------------- +--------------------- ANNABELLEJAMESONABERCROMBIE.pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere. It was Go-Time.
Matilda and Jasmine had listened to AJ declare that 2020 was going to be a new year. A good year. A year fraught with danger and adventure. So as they walked through Diagon Alley, stocking up on potions supplies they'd used up, Matilda, the thoughtful Slytherin she was, motioned down a dark side-alley.
"Alright, Ms Adventure. Why don't you run along to Knockturn. Bring something back with you so we know you didn't just hide around the corner!"
Jasmine protested, telling AJ she didn't have to go, but the Gryffindor was up to the challenge. She didn't want to back out of this dare; Mattie would never let her hear the end of it. So she made a dramatic show of departing, then flounced off down the ominous, narrow alley. She vanished, leaving her two friends staring after her, astonished.
AJ's courage began to waver as she took in all the shady characters mulling about Knockturn. It looked like everyone here neglected to brush their teeth! And wash their hands! And hair! Ugh, everything and everyone was dirty. She tried to keep the look of disgust off her face, but failed. And then she heard a whine to her left.
She spun around to see a blimp of an old man grinning at her. Had he whined?? It sounded much too small to be a whine. Then he gestured to the cage at his feet, and like a horror movie, AJ's eyes slid in slow-motion in the direction he provided.
She froze. There was an animal in that cage. And it was very much alive. AJ broke into a cold sweat, and felt the icy fingers of irony wrap around her shoulders. Her mind turned into a muddled, repetitive chant of MerlinMerlinMerlinMerlin!!! It took her a while to realize the old man was talking to her.
"Cute, in't he?" She stared at him as though he was off his rocker. She took a couple steps back, eyes wide, trying to avoid looking at the creature. But it was like trying to ignore a strobe light.
"Stop looking at me!" She hissed at it, as though it could understand her, and she promptly put her hand up by her eyes to block it from view. She turned her attention to the old man. "Do you think you could like... cover it up?"
...She really didn't like the sinister smile he gave her in response. tags + Coal Kendall wardrobe + photo plus jeans and winter cloak lyrics + Vanilla Twilight by Owl City notes + AJ hates animals. If that fox got loose... she would flip her $#!%

SHALLOW IS & SHALLOW DOES , SOME PEOPLE NEVER CHANGE. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Whats He wearing; clothes Coal watched the girl come near his cage, which looked like it had been by acciedent due to the emotions on her face. She looked terrified, no, it wasn't terrified, more like a mixture of horror and anger. When the man began to talk Coal perked up his ears, this girl looked like she didn't like him much, but he had to get out of the damn cage!
He sat up his tail swishing back and forth. When she said to cover up the cage Coal's ears dropped, great I am going to be stuck in here forever.. He whined tiliting his head and trying to figure out how to look cute, but this felt so undignified he felt slighly bad for animals he had seen caged up.
"Come now little lady, he wont harm you, I promise." the man with the annoying grisly voice tried to coax. Coal sat up on his hind legs and tilted his head to the side, like dog's did, or atleast ones he had seen from a distance, because he hated most animals, not quite like htis girl though. what can i do, to get her to get me out of here?. He thought, he couldn't very well change back, because the cage was to small, and the guy would notice and he might decide, Coal was worth more then he wanted to be.

the stars lean down to kiss youand i lie awake and miss you--------------------- +--------------------- ANNABELLEJAMESONABERCROMBIE.pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere. The girl kept backing away, unable and unwilling to hide her distaste for the imprisoned creature. She clearly wouldn't listen to the man, or wouldn't believe what he assured. That, or she didn't care. Animals all fell into one category for the quivering Gryffindor; they were monsters waiting to torture her. Coal, as a fox, was no different in her eyes. He deserved to be in a cage.
"Just keep that away from me- oh!" The small movement the fox made in the cage - sitting up and quirking its head, made her jump uneasily. It reminded her of a cursed stuffed animal, it's beady eyes mocking her. She felt like she was four again, and was being forced to watch her cousins' puppet show. She was trapped in a nightmare, much like Coal was trapped within those bars.
She should just leave. Mattie and Jaz were waiting for her back in Diagon, and they'd probably get worried if she didn't return soon. AJ started backing up, when she remembered the challenge. Bring something back to prove she'd been there. For all her friends' knew, she could have just hidden around the corner and then come back right away. She needed proof, and as she looked around, there was nothing she'd be willing to bring back with her. Those... rotting teeth that haggard old witch was selling wasn't anything she'd want to keep as a souvenir. Though...they were definitely more appealing than the fox.
She looked back at the fox, trying to look at it from a different point of view. It was difficult, but she knew that if she were Jasmine, she would save the fox in a heartbeat. Maybe, if she didn't look at it, she could bring it back for Jasmine. Maybe they could set it loose on Samantha's rabid cat. This thought made her smirk, imagining the possibilities. Really, she was trying to psyche herself into buying it. Eventually, she reminded herself that she was going to be crazy and irrational this year and forget about consequences. She swallowed back her instinct to run screaming down the alley, and stuffed her hands into her pockets.
"Okay, how much for the... thing?" Her eyes shifted back down the alley, and it looked like she might still be considering the rotting teeth.

SHALLOW IS & SHALLOW DOES , SOME PEOPLE NEVER CHANGE. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Whats He wearing; clothes Coal whined and then went back to all fours. As the man snickered at the girl, but smiled a toothy grin."Tell you what, i'll let you get use to him first." The man bent down and opened the cage, whic suprsied Coal, and instead of darting out, he walked out with a little prance and then sat down infront of the girl staring up at her.be good coal, if your not careful you could be thrown into the cage again. He thought as he bowed his head to the girl, trying to seem as, human as he could possibly be.i still can't change back, i might be tied up, and sold to a circus or something., he thought flicking his tail, slightly irritated at the thought.
He brought his head back up and looked at her, pretty girl, but scared to death.. He thought wondering what caused her tobe so afraid of him.

the stars lean down to kiss youand i lie awake and miss you--------------------- +--------------------- ANNABELLEJAMESONABERCROMBIE.pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere. The man opened the cage. The fox walked out of the cage. And Annabelle Jameson Abercrombie stopped breathing.
Her vision swam, and in the haze she didn't notice the old man and the fox getting smaller. She was backed to the other side of the alley, back pressed against the dirty wall, scraping her school robes. She blinked and shook her head, Get a grip Abercrombie! but then her lungs suddenly remembered how to work.
"No, no no!" She whimpered, unaware and uncaring of how absolutely pathetic she looked. AJ looked about ready to climb up that wall to escape the little fox. She fumbled in her pockets until she found what she was looking for. And then she whipped out her wand.
With her wand extended toward the small creature, she felt a little more in control of this crazy situation. Her breathing slowed to a nearly normal pace, and her heartbeat receded back to her chest where it belonged. Hearing it pound in her ears hadn't helped her calm down much.
"Put it back in the cage," The Gryffindor commanded. Her voice shook still, so she cleared her throat and added, "please," though it was still very strained. Couldn't this man see her phobia? If he did, was he really sadistic enough to set his pet loose on her? The last animal that came close to her got hexed, and now its owner had a personal vendetta against her. She should put up posters and hand out flyers warning the world that no animal was safe around her.
She pushed off the wall and came a little closer, not wanting to give the fox a running start if it chose to charge her. Plus, if she was closer, it would be easier to hex if she needed to. But she really didn't want to; maybe this old man was as protective of his fox as Samantha was of her cat, and she sure didn't need another enemy in this animal-infested world.
