victoria had to do this, and she was doing it now. after having confessed her intentions to kaleb garcia after the two have them had discovered they had quite a bit in common, but very different views on the matter. she wanted to speak up about what she felt was wrong, whilst kaleb had practically begged her not to say anything to anyone. getting away from him without having changed her mind had been quite difficult, though she was starting to have second thoughts. his life would be ripped apart, but hadn't she thought that when she had been involved with... she didn't even want to think his name it made her feel so sick in her gut.
but she had managed to get away, and she was now stood outside the office of the head of gryffindor. she'd have gone to professor rowett as she would feel more comfortable talking to a woman about the problem. plus, professor rowett seemed more approachable, and would probably have more influence since she'd been a head of house for quite some time now. either way, the head of gryffindor was the person who she was supposed to go to, and she didn't want to break any rules right now. this was serious. she raised a hand to the door, and hesitated. 'it's now or never vicky. now or never.' victoria knocked sharply on the door, and waited for it to open.

Theodore sat at his desk reading the daily prophet. Sure he should probably have been marking some work or something but he couldnt find any to mark so he figured he must have done it all, then again his lessons were more practical based then written. He sat there reading about a man who was wanted for assaulting a goblin. Who the heck assaults a goblin he thought to himself shaking his head slightly as there was a knock on the door, he closed the paper and folded it placing it on the desk.
"Come in" he said to the person the other side of the door, his door was always open.. well by open he meant unlocked.. except some times when e wasnt in because he couldnt trust some Slytherins alone in his room, god knows what they could take. e wasnt realy sure who he was expecting to enter, but being the head of Gryffindor he got visited surprisingly a lot, he hadnt realised so many people went to the head of there house, when he was in Hogwarts he used to go to the teacher he liked most and who liked him, a lot of the pupils he was meeting recently he hadnt even seen before. I got to start learning and memorising names he thought to himself sitting up straight and watching the door.

Thomas had been theorising, and that was usually a bad thing. He was thinking about the mark again, as finding out who was a death eater was very important. He'd had his suspicions about Ligasto, but he was also suspecting the defence teacher, what was his name, Shames? Yes, Zane, Zane Shames. So he'd gone to talk to the only head of house he could find at that moment, Theodore Lupin. Recently promoted to head of Gryffindor, Lupin was someone he could trust to tell the truth, and he needed to tell his theories to someone, so he made his way to Theo's office and knocked on the door. When he walked in, he saw Theo reading the paper.
Tom looked around Theo’s office and noticed that it did look rather homely. He liked that in an office, as it was better to feel comfortable and as if you were home, than somewhere that didn’t have a good atmosphere at all. His office was the same, homely and cosy, he loved the way he’d decorated it, although he was sure that his wife would have done a better job. But hey, he didn’t want to start thinking of her, otherwise he’d end up crying.
"Hello, mr Lupin. I've come to talk about Shames, if you'd be happy to-" But Thomas was interrupted by a knock at the door. He moved out of the way and took a seat next to the desk, not wanting to get in the way of official Gryffindor buisness. He would leave if he was aksed to, but it was rather important that he discussed who Theo thought was capable of conjuring the mark.Tom turned to face the door and waited to see who walked in, as he wanted to try and help if he could anyway, as he was staff, and that was what he was there for, other than to teach Potions of course! Victoria heard voices from inside the office, having just noticed that the door was already slightly open. 'I've come to talk about Shames'. Did they already know? She highly doubted that, unless their perverted teacher had played with more toys than she knew of, which wouldn't have surprised her at all, regardless of how sick and twisted the idea was. She pushed open the door and stepped inside quite quickly, pushing the door shut behind her.
"Since you're already on the subject of Zane, there's something I need to tell you." She said, her voice failing her slightly as it usually did when she was trying to say a sentence in a shorter space of time than she was able to. Kaleb hadn't followed her onto the second floor, and had instead gone to the third floor. Zane's office was on the third floor, he'd gone to warn him after all. The only problem was, Zane was very unpredictable, and she doubted he'd take the news well that he'd spilled the beans to someone, Vicky of all people.
It was then that she realised Professor Moore was also present, which was rather ironic considering he was Kaleb's head of house. It dawned on her that perhaps she shouldn't have walked in, that she shouldn't have interupted and instead gone to Professor Rowett or Malfoy. She was there now, so she might as well tell them. Their expressions and the atmosphere made it obvious that they hadn't been about to praise Zane.

Theodore was completely unaware about what it was Zane had done but he was beginning to wounder, if a fellow professor had come to talk to him about it then it must be something but then a girl he didnt know the name of walked in. I need to learn as many students names and faces as i can he thought making a mental note then when she spoke he realised something was going on to do with Zane and it was a lot bigger then he had first thought.
A Professor and a student.. both wanting to talk about the same person.. something big's going on here he thought to himself. "Wait, one moment, you both have something to say about Shames.. if you can wait a moment Professor Moore, i'd like to hear what she has to say first" he said with a small nod towards Vicky. He figured that pupils come first, he was sure he would ear what they both had to say soon enough anyway. Shames, what have you done he wondered as he sat back in his chair and waited for the truth to come out and it all to unravel before him

Thomas watched as the Gryffindor, who he recognised to be Vicky walked in. He nodded in her direction and wondered what she had to say. maybe she had information about the mark, or maybe she knew something else. Whatever it was, he wanted to hear, and soon! He watched her movements, she seemed sort of unsure that what she was doing was the right thing. "Of course, pupils first. Please, Vicky, isn't it? sit down" He offered, raising from his chair and waving to it so she could sit in it. She obviously had something important to say, and she obviously wanted to say it, as she had hunted out the head of her house to talk to him. There was something big going on, and he wanted to know what it was, and how he hadn't picked up on it, as he usually was very observant. Tom moved to the wall and leant his back on it, watching the girl. If she was lying, he wanted to pick up any sign of it and tell Theodore Lupin as soon as possible, as finding out the truth was very important! The atmosphere told him that whatever she had to say was important, and now he was intrigued at what there was she had to say. "What is it you want to say, Vicky?" he asked her politely, wondering what information she had. [/blockquote] Tagged Theodore Lupin&Vicky Lyrics Playing God - Paramore Counted at 232. 'oh great, i get to go first. might as well get it over with.' she thought, unable to believe just how bad her luck was, even now. the spotlight was now on her, which she normally wouldn't have minded, but the situation was very different. she just wanted zane out of the school, and then be able to go back to who she was before, instead of ending up as 'the girl who shagged a teacher' that she knew she would be known as. that wasn't something she wanted at all, but if it meant getting zane away from the students, she'd do it. people would get bored of it eventually and forget all about it.
she sat down, nodding in response to thomas to confirm that vicky was her name. 'am i really that noticeable in potions?' victoria asked herself, though she was quite good at the subject. well, good enough to make a potion without blowing the cauldron up. "zane - i mean professor shames," she began, correcting herself when she realised that she still needed to call him by his formal name. even though she knew his forename, she wasn't supposed to use it. "he's been getting involved with students. involved meaning involved." she added, swallowing the lump in her throat. "kaleb garcia in slytherin, that's who's mind he's messing up right now. before that..." vicky continued, her voice failing again. 'come on, you can do this. you have to do this.' she told herself, before resuming her sentence. "before that, it was me, and i don't know how many other people he's taken advantage of."

Theo made a mental note when Thomas called the girl Vicky. He then sat back as Thomas asked the question he was thinking. Then he listend as Vicky revealed what had happend. Thomas honestly didnt know how to react or what to do. He just stood up out of instinct. "Are you ok?" he asked which was possibly his stupidest question to date. He could see how she was. He sighed Stupid Shames he thought to himself then opend his desk rummaging through untill he found some chocolate. The cure for sadness.. kind of he thought then headed over to Vicky, placing a hand on her back he gave her the chocolate "Eat up, it'll help the lump in your throat and give you an excuse to not speak". He said keeping his hand on her back he then turned to Thomas "Before i completely freak out what is it you had to say about him?". If Shames had done something else Theodore wouldn't stand for it, he could hardly stop himself from going to find Zane there and then.

Thomas listened intently to the girl, his eyes flicking over her features to measure how much of what she said was a lie. Nothing. He raised his eyebrows as he heard the allegations of Vicky. When she mentioned names, and included herself, he could tell she wasn't lying either. He felt ashamed, that a trusted member of the faculty had betrayed them all like this, students and teachers included. This was a sad day in teaching, in Thomas' point of view. He shook his head, feeling a little ill that the teacher could do this to students. "Vicky, how long ago did this start, do you know?"
he asked, wondering how long that this monster had gotten away with such atrocities. He could not believe that someone would be able to do such a thing, to childeren! And he couldn't believe that he had been a trusted member of the staff. no longer, surely Shames would lose his job now? Thomas turned to Theodore Lupin and nodded. "Of course. I was thinking that, if he was able to get away with this, would it be to far to presume that he could be a death eater, and one who conjured the dark mark at the Halloween ball?" Thomas ventured, thinking it through. Shames hadn't been to helpful in trying to get rid of it, had he? It was more Ligasto who had tried spells to take the mark from the hall. And he didn't see where Shames was at the moment that the lights went out, but he bet it was somewhere close to where the mark was cast! "i've had time to get over it, it's kaleb i'm worried about." she said to professor lupin, before he gave her the chocolate. normally she wouldn't have refused an offer for chocolate, but right now she just didn't feel like it. there was a feeling in her gut telling her that kaleb had indeed gone to zane, and she seriously doubted the defence against the dark arts professor would shrug it off and tell him everything would work out okay. first, it wouldn't work out okay. second, he was a sick and twisted son of a bitch who really wouldn't care if kaleb got hurt or not. vicky on the other hand was very concerned for him.
"it started last year. i got a detention in his lesson and i had to go to his office that night." victoria told thomas, not feeling greatly comfortable telling two males about her having had sex with a teacher. then again, how could anybody feel comfortable about saying that to anyone? "then again in october, but i didn't have a detention. he'd made me think that he loved me and i loved him, and..." she continued, breaking off early as she felt slightly embarassed. "i walked right into his trap." vicky finished. she had completely forgotten about the halloween ball, and so the idea that zane had conjured the dark mark reminded her, and she found that it was very likely indeed.

Theodore just shook his head, he couldnt believe this had been going on under everyone's noses. sure he hadnt been at Hogwarts that long but he still should have noticed something, if this got out to the media then everyone's jobs would be questioned. "You did the right thing, telling us" he told Vicky then listend to what Thomas had to say about the ball. Theo hadnt been at the ball but he had to admit it sounded likely Zane had done it. "I wasnt there so i cant realy say anything about that but when hes done is not forgivable" Ted said truthfully speaking.
"This Kaleb kid.. where is he now?" Theodore asked Vicky, thinking maybe if they could get Kaleb to speak then maybe things would get done a lot more faster. He knew what the ministry were like, slow lazy bunch of good for nothings, or at least thats what some people called them, but if there were more then one pupil involved then it meant Zane possibly could have been doing it for a while. Thomas listened intently to her story, and he was absolutely sure that it was the truth. Kaleb Garcia was a Ladies man, and he happened to be in the Slytherin house. It was Thomas' job to watch out for his house pupils, and he was very concerned about Kaleb, and wondered where he was at that moment. he was about to ask if Vicky knew where he was, but Teddy Lupin spoke about the halloween ball, and Thomas nodded. "Of course, and what he did makes me ashamed to say that we let it happen. How did we not know?" He asked the room, trying to answer it himself. He of all people should have noticed, as he was very good at reading people, and he'd never picked up that Zane Shames had been lying to everyone. It was sick and twisted, and he partly blamed himself for not picking up on it. "Thank you for being brave and telling us this, Vicky. I think that honesty is an honourable quality, and I admire you for coming forward. I know this must be awkward for you. but it is likely that you will have to talk to the headmistress about this, along with Kaleb." Thomas explained, hoping that she wouldn't feel to uncomfortable talking about this with them. She would probably have to go to a trial if this was true, as he was sure that the Minister of magic would need to get involved. "Yes, Vicky do you know where he will be? it's very important that we find him, as we need to talk to him too" Thomas added in, watching Vicky closely. "i was speaking to him in the grounds before i came here. he went up to the third floor when i turned onto this one." vicky told them, starting to feel more comfortable speaking to them, but still not exactly comfortable. now that the spotlight was more on kaleb that it was on her, it was a little easier for her. "he's probably speaking to zane. somehow i don't think it's going too well." she continued, trying to think exactly what could be happening. she got nothing, but again, it definitely wasn't 'don't worry, it'll all be fine.'
if she really had to speak to hermione then she would do, but she wanted kaleb to understand that what she had done had been to help him, and that she would need him to speak up as well in order for him to be helped. would he realise that? he was head over heels in love with the man, or so he thought anyway. by the time kaleb started his seventh year, zane would've found somebody else to abuse. at least that would've been the result, but she wouldn't have him still teaching by that point.

It only took Theo a moment to realise what possibly could be going on with Kaleb and Zane. H could be warning him Theo thought turning to Thomas and saying "If Kaleb thinks he loves Zane then ... well we need to make sure Zane doesn't get away" Ted said woundering what to do, for all he knew Zane could be long gone by now. Typically, first year at work i already have to deal with a paedophile teacher and a possible death eater he thought to himself with a sigh scratching his head.
"But one of us needs to tell Hermione so she can contact the ministry and get him put in azkaban" Ted said still unsure what the heck he was doing, he was kind of hoping Thomas would just take control and go and fine Zane or tell Hermione, Teddy would try and cover the other option.

Thomas listened to what Vicky said with a mixed look of horror and worry on his face. This could be really bad! If kaleb had gone to Zane, then Merlin knew what Zane was doing to kaleb. It could be that he was running, or Kaleb could be getting hurt. He couldn't have that, not on his watch he wouldn't. Hr pushed away from the wall and nodded at what Theo said. "Yes, I agree, We'll have to go there immediately. Vicky, you should stay here, we don't know what could be happening to Kaleb." Thomas said logically moving to the door. he turned back and nodded at what Theo said again. This kid was wise! poor bloke, having to deal with a death eater and a Paedophile all in his first few months. "Kaleb is a Slytherin, and so was Zane. I'll go, you need to go to the headmistress. Tell her it's urgant, explain on the way. We can't waste time." Thomas rationalised, heading out the door and swiftly down the stairs to the office of Zane, hoping internally that Zane hadn't left, and that Kaleb was alright. he couldn't take it if that pervert had hurt a student in his house.[/blockquote]
