Samantha relaxed her body when Chris took his arm from around her. One of her biggest pet peeves was when she was touched, in any way, when she hadn't given that person permission. Not even a shake of the hand or a high five. She didn't participate in either of those, anyway, so it didn't matter. She actually had a lot of pet peeves.. she couldn't even rank them. All of them seemed to be number one.
"Interesting?" she asked skeptically with a raised brow. She didn't know if she should take that as a compliment or not. Being the person that she was, she figured that was not really a compliment, "Don't you mean amazing? Brilliant? Perfect? A goddess?" she ticked off on her fingers one by one as she listed off the many names she frequently called herself, "Unless interesting is all those words wrapped into one," she added, smirking slightly.
She stared down at her dark colored cat again as she watched her sleep peacefully, listening to Chris's short story. She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. From his expression, it seemed like he may have been having a sort of flashback, remembering the incident, "Wow, what the hell, kid?" she couldn't help but blurt, "All it did was attack you, you didn't have to kill it! Jesus..," she muttered, shaking her head in disgust, "I'm sure it wasn't going to kill you," she spat.

Chris saw her relax when he pulled his arm away, he shook his head slightly wounder why she doesn't like physical contact.. i could understand if i put my hand on her leg or something but my arm around her.. thats not that bad he decided not to ponder on it for long because he knew it might just be a weird habit she had or maybe she just didnt want to think she was leading him on which he knew she wasnt as for the first time in a long time he just wasnt thinking of how to 'get' the girl or anything he was just.. talking to someone.
"Yeah interesting, like one min your being nice, then your yelling at me, its not boring.. i like it" he said with a smile and then chuckled at some of the suggestions she gave him "If it means you wont knock me out then yeah its all of those" he joked just imagining himself waking up in the dungeons and saying 'dammit not again' then it would probably happen over and over untill Chris woke up in all the places the school had.
Chris went silent as Sam reacted to his 'story' this is why i dont tell people he thought as his stomach began to get realy heavy inside just dont cry dude he thought concentrating on not crying, but this made him get slightly angry. Standing up he spun around and looked at Sam "Look i was nine, you dont think i wish i could turn back time and stop it happening, i do so just.. STOP IT!" he then walked away from the table to the wall opposite, kicking it he just stood there looking down at the floor and breathing heavily trying to calm himself down before he hurt someone or hiself. Samantha stroked Blacky's head a couple more times before looking up at Chris, trying to hide her amusement but failing, "You like my inconsistent mood swings?" she asked him disbelievingly, "Wow.. I think you're the weird one here," she admitted, not knowing how he could possibly tolerate her. Usually she pissed people off greatly with her attitude.
She let out a sigh, shrugging slightly, "Well.. I'm not promising anything," she replied curtly, not wanting him to think they were on friendly terms or anything. She always wanted the people she spoke to on their toes, with their guard up. She enjoyed it when people found her intimidating, "Just don't be stupid and you should be fine," she added, using one hand to flip her long, wavy blond hair over her shoulder.
Sam's eyes widened at his outburst. She hadn't been expecting that sort of reaction. She nibbled on her bottom lip slightly, staying silent for the first time in a while as she watched him make his way toward one of the walls and kick it. She could hear his heavy breathing from here. She really must have touched a nerve, and she actually felt a bit sorry. She glanced down at her own cat to see it was still asleep, and that outburst from Chris hadn't caused it to wake.
She wasn't good with apologies. In fact, she rarely ever apologized. She found it hard to just get the words 'sorry' and 'thanks' out of her mouth. It was like her brain wouldn't let it happen. But, right then, she actually had the urge to apologize to him, "Oh well, I'm.. s-so.. sor.." she gave up with a huff. It was much harder to say this word when she actually meant it and wasn't being sarcastic. It just seemed so awkward for her. She sat there silently for a moment, guessing that he would take this opportunity to leave.

"Normal people just bore me and if that makes me weird then weird i am" Chris replied to her simply he did like her mood swings because well it stopped things from being boring and Chris got bored easily, maybe that was one of the reasons he went from girl to girl, he didnt know why he did that actually it had just happend and he hadnt stopped, didnt plan to either unless he found 'the one'.
"Well that might be hard, im usualy pretty stupid but i guess i'll try" he said with a smirk he had grown to like Sam and even if she didnt want to show any kind of niceness he knew he would no class her as a friend, or something like that. Not that he was going to let her know that.
Chris found himself staring at the floor when Sam's voice came from behind him, he knew what she was trying to say even if she couldnt actually say it. shes apologizing he thought suddenly feeling realy guilty for flipping out "Your.. apologizing" e said smiling and turning around and walking back over to her "it should be me who's sorry, i need to work on my anger issues" he said sitting back where he had been, he didnt want to completely ruin all the progress he had made with Sam, well before this she had left him knocked out so it could only get better... Samantha was pretty sure that she wasn't going to knock him out again any time soon. Especially not now, when they had seemed to be getting along. Chris would have to do something pretty drastic, like kill her cat, for her to harm him again. Well, she could always smack him across the face whenever she felt like it, but she meant really harm him.
She couldn't believe how pathetic she sounded, trying to apologize to him. Worst of all, though, she couldn't believe she was trying to apologize in the first place. He had overreacted, but she still felt bad for going on with the subject when it seemed to be too much for the boy.
She knew she wouldn't be able to deny it when he stated the obvious. She had been trying to apologize, something she barely ever did, but he probably didn't know how rare of an occasion it was for her. At least it seemed to calm him down. Though she had her wand, she could've probably taken care of things if he had begun to throw things or something.
She eyed him, a bit paranoid because of his previous outburst, as he sat down once more, "You could probably try out one of those anger management classes I've heard about," she answered smoothly, a smirk playing at her lips, "Yes, you're the one who should be sorry. And I accept that apology. It's never my fault, I shouldn't have been the one who was sorry," she added. It was always the other persons fault. No matter how nice she could be, her ego always got in the way, ruining the moment.

Chris realy couldnt beleive he was sitting here acting all friendly to a girl who had a cat in her lap that scratched him and the girl had knocked him out and left him in the forbidden forest. He somehow couldnt help but smile at the weirdness of it all he found he was beginning to like Sam and only minutes ago he hated her. I swear theres something weird going on with me recently he thought to himself, first he wasnt flirting with some girls and now he was befriending someone that he should be enemies with.
When Sam mentioned an anger management class chris had to hold back a laugh he wouldn't even think of going to one of those it was just for people who got angry over stupid thing and they all just sat there sharing there feelings, it sounded like a lot of rubbish to him he would much rather just bottle it in and then yell into his pillow later when nobody was around but often he would just snap without warning but it was rare for him so he didnt realy take much notice of it.
"Way to ruin a beautiful moment" Chris joked when she said it was all his fault and deffinetly not hers. "so you dont like people touching you without warning huh?" he asked then with a small smirk poked her in the arm "Whatcha gonna do about it?" he asked her with a smirk then stopping for a moment he joked "Just dont knock me out"

Samantha knew she was there to annoy him. Well, at least, that's what she told herself. That was the only excuse she had, since she didn't want to admit she was actually trying to have a conversation with this Slytherin. She could leave whenever she wanted to, but she chose to stay. It was out of character for her, sure, but she was doing it because she felt.. what was the word? Lonely. She would never admit that, though. It would damage her ego.
Blacky mewed quietly, rolling onto her back and sleepily pawing at the air. Sam leaned over to examine the cat for a moment, but it still seemed to be asleep. She sat back up, turning to look at Chris once more. Of all the people she could have a somewhat civilized conversation with, it had to be him. After what she had done to him, she was surprised he was still putting up with her. Shouldn't he hate her?
Sam's eyes narrowed, trying to keep the grin from appearing on her face when he leaned in and poked her jokingly. Usually she would freak out when someone tried to mess with her like that, but with him, she seemed fine with it for the moment. Which was completely strange, "Nah.. I won't knock you out," she replied reassuringly, "I just may slap you across the face.. maybe even punch you," she nodded, liking the idea, "Using magic for all my problems isn't always fun," she added with a slight shrug.

Chris began to wounder why exactly he was there, shouldn't he have left by now it wasnt like he was flirting withe her or annoying her which he should be doing or at least thats what he normally would be doing. something strange is going on here he thought for a moment looking at the cat who seemed to be asleep, he couldnt help but think maybe the cat had something to do with all this but he decided it was stupid even if the cat did lead her down here..
"Oh well thats nice to know" he said with a smirk when she said she wasnt going to knock him out. He did not want to be knocked out anywhere near a cat, he would probably wake up covered in tiny scratches and bites, he had a theory cats could tell if you didnt like them or not, well it was a rather new theory seeing as he had only just thought it up but he didnt realy want to be anywhere near a cat and he was surprised he hadnt left already as there was a cat like right next to him.
"Well if your going to slap or punch me give me a little warning huh?" he said then just as he was about to reply to her about magic solving her problems he decided to test something. Chris smiled and said "I know what thats like" then he winked at her. He wanted to see if she blushed because he was pretty sure last time he winked at her she had blushed, but he couldnt be sure untill he saw how she reacted to the wink.

Samantha grinned slightly, letting out a small sigh, "Sorry.. can't do that," she replied evenly, referring to warning him before she slapped or punched him, "It obviously wouldn't be as fun if you saw it coming," she added in a 'duh' tone. She examined her nails for a brief moment before bringing her hands behind her and placing them on the table, leaning back slightly. She stared at the ceiling for a moment, mentally checking that there was nothing she had to be doing right now, or anywhere she had to be.
She turned to look at him again, just in time to see him wink. She hated it when he did that, because it really did have an effect on her and she couldn't really control it as much as she wanted. She looked down at her cat again as she felt her cheeks tint slightly pink, wanting to smack herself, "Well, see, if you keep doing that, then I will have to smack you," she muttered, hoping he knew what she was referring to.
Wanting to change the subject, she glanced down at his guitar, "You know any more, erm, songs or anything?" she asked, trying to sound bored. She didn't want it to make it look like she was enjoying herself. The last thing she wanted to do was bring her guard down, but by now it was probably already too late. As long as this didn't change her, and no one else saw this side of her but Chris, then she was fine.

Chris smirked as she said it wouldn't be as fun if he knew he as going to get slapped "Fair enough.. just dont smack me unless like i realy bring it on then" he said with a laugh. Nobody licked getting smacked, well sure some weirdo's might but there weirdo's Chris didnt want to get hit any time soon, he was just learning to be friends with Sam even if she did have a cat and had knocked him out in the forbidden forest, i wounder how long this is going to last he thought.
Chris laughed as she looked down blushing, now with most girls he would slowly lift thee head with his hands, say something romantic then kiss them. Then he would go on for another girl but he would probably get slapped if he even touched Sam's face so that was a no go plus he didnt realy want to ruin the weird enemy friend relationship they had. "I'll stop when i understand why your blushing" he said with a smirk, his best guess was that she thought he was good looking at to be honest he felt proud of himself for making her blush.
Chris looked down at his guitar when she asked if he knew more songs "Erm yeah" he said picking it up. He paused a moment thinking of what to play then just chose the first thing that came to his head which was The Gorillaz with Feel Good Inc. He played and sang this for a while untill the song was over, he just placed the guitar down and waited for Sam to say something.

Samantha shrugged slightly, "Well, sometimes I get bored if I haven't taken my bottled up anger out on someone in a while," she began, "So I may just smack you for the fun of it," she joked. Most likely she wouldn't do that, though, since she honestly didn't want to lose this.. semi-friendship, she was building with Chris. Obviously she wouldn't admit to that, though, "Doesn't it feel good, though, to hit someone? Get all that anger out? Makes me feel all.. giddy," she explained with a goofy grin.
She wiped the grin off of her face quickly, figuring she looked a bit odd like that. Usually she didn't grin like that, anyway. She just scowled, frowned, smirked, etc. She dragged her eyes from Chris, staring at her cat once more as she softly stroked it's sleeping figure. She had to think quickly. What else could cause her cheeks to go a shade darker? Surely she couldn't tell him the truth, which was that she maybe, sort of, found him just slightly attractive, "Uh, the heat.. It's kind of, hot down here," she lied quickly, nervously. She needed to act cool, calm, and collected. It wasn't the best lie, since they were in the dungeons and it was quite chilly, actually.
She sat silently as Chris lifted his guitar once more and began strumming and singing along to another tune. She waited patiently, trying to keep her face even. She didn't want to show that she actually enjoyed his musical talents, "That was.. um, good," she replied once he was finished. She probably didn't sound sincere to his ears, but it was only because she found trouble in complimenting people, as well. That was the best she could do, for now.

Chris laughed when Sam said she might just hit him for the fun of it, it wasnt realy funny but the thought of just hitting someone randomly kind of was. "Personally i hit pillows and stuff.. not actual people" he said with another laugh as he noticed the grin on her face she realy must like hitting people he thought to himself then suddenly got a rather weird and random thought she should be a boxer.
Chris smiled when she said it was hot down here, it wasnt it was freezing so he knew why she was blushing. It is me he thought rather proudly "Is it hot down here?" he asked her then with a smirk said "Or is it just me?" oh yeah never before has that line been used in a better time or place he thought trying to hold back a laugh but he had to admit it was a perfect time to say that.
"Thanks" he said with a smile as he knew she meant it even though she didnt exactly sound like it. He knew she couldnt realy compliment people like she couldnt realy apologize it was just the way Sam was and chris had worked that out by now.

Samantha shrugged slightly at his reply, "Yeah, I guess that could do the trick," she began, "But hitting people just feels so much better," she explained, "I mean, I also throw things and stuff, but hitting people is just so much more convenient. It gets the job done quicker," she added, "It's not as fun if you don't see the pain in their eyes," she smirked at her own words, knowing she probably sounded extremely disturbed.
Sam couldn't help but roll her eyes to the ceiling. This kid seemed full of himself in that moment, though then again she shouldn't be one to judge. She was worse than him, "Oh, please," she muttered, "It's actually me who's causing it to be so hot down here," she replied smugly, "That should be pretty obvious by now," she added with a shrug of her small shoulders. Usually she didn't call herself hot, but gorgeous and amazing and all those other great things.
She bit her lip slightly, glad that he seemed understanding enough, "Yeah, well... you should be thankful," she replied bitterly, "Because, well, it's not everyday I.. compliment.. or, apologize, to people," she added, her arms folding across her chest and her nose now sticking up in the air. She said the two words like they were poison on her tongue. She took that moment to glance at Blacky again, finding the cat peacefully sleeping on her back. She turned back to Chris, and idea coming to her, "You know, I could probably help you get over your fears of cats," she offered, her eyes widening slightly at her own words. What was wrong with her today? First she was apologizing, then complimenting, and now offering her own help? She must be sick or something. Yeah, that explained it.

Chris laughed at what she said, she sounded evil and he was going to let her know that "You sound pure evil" he said then laughed some more, he stopped himself though as he added "I like it" he then smirked a little and continued "I was going to wink then but i figured you would just blush" God i love this he thought, he liked teasing her as well he and she knew he was joking and to be honest he liked the thought of being able to make a girl blush just by winking at them.
Chris smiled slightly at her comeback nice one he thought as most people would just tut and roll there eyes but stay quiet. She on the other hand had a comeback and it was a pretty good one. "Well im not going to disagree with that" he said about to put his arm around her but stopped himself. Smirking a bit he said "Permission to put my arm around you?" he knew if he did she wold moan that he was touching her without her permission as she had done earlier.
Chris laughed at what she said "so you admit you apologize and your complimenting me" he pointed out smiling slightly this days getting better he thought then considered letting her help him but then a line came to his head he couldnt help but use "I could help you get over your fear of physical contact" he couldnt help but laugh a little then he added "but lets tackle one thing at a time"

Samantha smirked slightly, "Yeah, I tend to get that a lot," she replied. It was true that she had been called evil before, but it was just one name of many she was called on a daily basis. She actually took pride in being called all of these names, though they were obviously meant to hurt her feelings. She was fine with it, having blocked out all emotions of pity for herself and embarrassment.
She rolled her eyes again with a slight shake of her head, "I don't blush," she growled, even though her tone hinted at a bit of unease. She hated when people noticed those faults about her, and had to point them out. As long as it wasn't a whole flock of people, and just Chris, it made it all a bit better. She wasn't going to let him know he was right, though. That would be another blow at her ego. Just like him having pointed out that she apologized and complimented him in one day. This was horrifying.
Sam let out a small laugh when he asked permission to put his arm around her, "Well, at least you're being a gentleman now," she joked with a small smile, "But sure, I suppose, since you did ask nicely," she added, shrugging slightly. It wasn't that she was afraid of physical contact, really. It was just that she was very controlling and didn't like people touching her unless she allowed them to. It was very confusing, "I'm not afraid of physical contact," she admitted, "Although it may seem that way, I'm not," she added, "But I think we should get on your whole fear of cats thing first," she replied as Blacky mewed slightly and rolled back on to his stomach, "You see, she's not all that mean," she explained, glancing at Chris again, "Just because one cat was a bitch doesn't mean they all are. You just had an awful first impression or something," she told him honestly. Even though her cat had scratched him, it was probably because of her mood swings or something silly like that. She highly doubted that it was some strange problem Chris had, where cats instantly hated him or something. Though that would be amusing.
