Millie laughed and said: "Why, yes. I am a nerd." When Shia had added he was a hopeless romantic and put his finger to his lips, Millie just kept laughing. "Your secret's safe with me," She promised in fake seriousness. "Girl Scouts Honor." She added with a small, playful wink.
"Poor tree." Millie sighed, patting the tree's trunk. Reaching to pluck the leaves that had fallen, she found Shia getting close and picking them off himself. She looked at him for a bit of time before looking back up at the tree, then back to the lawn. What was all that about? [/b] She puzzled, amused as she rested her chin on her knees. "What about you, what do you want to do?" "What? I-Oh." Millie said, being brought out of her puzzling. "Uh. I'm not sure yet." She added, frowning a little bit. She hadn't really thought about it, except it could be entertainment or something of the sort. Truth be told, Millie didn't exactly know all the details about the career paths of witches and wizards. " Is there that big of a difference?" She thought out loud, before remembering she was with company. Quickly, she added: "Wizarding Careers and Muggle Careers. I know there's teaching, and the Ministry of Magic and such...but after that...Yeah." Millie finished lamely. [/blockquote][/size]

"Well then Miss Nerd...what makes you a nerd?" Shia teased. He couldn't help but smile as she said his 'secret' was safe with her, it was amusing to him.
"Yea, i do feel bad for it sometimes" Shia didn't notice her reaction to him removing the leaves, but he was surprised by it himself, had that been him or....Vincent.
Shia watched her ramble aimlessly about his question, finding it kinda of entertaining. When she frowned he sighed shaking his head."Well if you have trouble, I can hire you as one of my clerks okay?" He said tilting his head to the side with a grin. As she finished her drown out speech Shia found she was right about the same jobs comment. that made him think, why do we come here then?
Shia felt a twinge in his arm, and it raised his hand going to Millies face and brushing bakca fallen piece of hair. He avoided shooting it back in shock but it quickly dropped back to his lap/Vincent Shia whined mentally. what? i am just giving you a antidote to your little pet Dan. Shia found himself clenching his teeth angrily and bitterly he had to look away from Millie as his eyes darkened.you bastard.. he threw the mental insult at his other self angrily, the stupid jokster was jealous and was going to make a hell of a scene. Millie laughed a little. "Well, for starters, I love reading. School is...a little fun for me." She admitted with a shy smile. Why am I telling him this? [/b] She thought with a mental frown. It didn't matter, though. It's not like it was some big secret that she was telling him that was a matter of life and death. If you saw a few of her grades, you would know that she enjoyed learning stuff like this. Maybe it was because she didn't grow up in a magical family. "When this tree was your age, he knew to respect his elders." She joked, leaning back against the tree gingerly, then after the tree made no protest resting her back against it. "Well if you have trouble, I can hire you as one of my clerks okay?" Shia had offered, and Millie grinned, looking to him. "That would be cool." She said, the grin turning into a smile. It was then Shia reached and brushed away a piece of her hair that had fallen out of her ponytail. She gaped and him for a minute or two before turning back and burying her mouth in her knees. You're making it more awkward. [/b] She thought. Millie turned to Shia and noticed he had turned away from her. She looked away as well, not wanting to make the scene cheesy or just more awkward for the both of them. "Er. So a bookshop, yeah? That's a great idea. Do you still use the Monster Book of Monsters? Scary stuff." Millie said, hoping to break the silence. [/blockquote][/size]

"Books, one of the worlds few pleasures....and drawing..' Shia added and smiled at her. He felt odd she was good to talk to, but somethign felt like repeating history somewhere in here.
"This tree is practiaclly a old man!" Shia said jabbing a thumb at it. A branch came down and smacked it away. Shia popped his thumb in his mouth and cursed. He probably looked odd sucking his thumb, but that had hurt!
'its certainly would be." Shia agreed.
As the moment got ackward, Shia heared her try and lighten the mood."Yea of..course I will have that book, its wicked." Shia said lightly, but found that the ackwardness was still there, thats when he noticed a branch heading for the knot in the tree leading to the Shrieking Shack, Shia's mind flicked on but before he could stop the dumb tree it turned the knob and the hole opened up. Shia next reflex was to grab Millie as they tumbled down the tunnel, Shia taking the blunt for ce of the fall. [/blockquote]

"You draw? That's cool!" Millie exclaimed. She loved anything that had to do with the arts, whether visual or applied. She still had the Sunday comics sent to her every other week from home, loving the stupid jokes that were in the strips.
"He prefers the term 'Young at...' crap. How old is he? 110?" Millie asked, laughing again. She felt really at ease talking with Shia. "Aw. Poor Shia." Millie said with a pout, looking up at the tree. "Are you going to apologize?" She asked the tree in a fake stern tone. The tree reached down and patted Shia on the head with a small branch and returned to how it was.
"I know! My sister had it under her bed one night over the summer. When she asked me to check for monsters, we both screamed so loud..." Millie trailed off with a weak smile. Her stomach churned slightly as she looked out at the lawn's snow-covered grass. Am I becoming literally homesick? Millie wondered sarcastically.
It was then that Millie was grabbed by the waist and dragged down with Shia into a hole in the Whomping Willow. She screamed and closed her eyes, and before she knew it they had hit the bottom. Well, Shia had. Millie opened her eyes and saw she was on top of Shia. Her eyes widend. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! Oh my gosh, are you alright?" She asked fervently, clambering off of Shia and kneeling next to him. [/size]

Shia laughed at her energy and shrugged."Yea..some say I am good, but I don't really notice." Wether he was being humble or not he didn't think highly of his drawing.
Shia laughed with her. "Older." He smiled as hte tree apologized patting him on the head, but it was still mad probably. This girl, she was sincere, that was something Shia hadn't seen in a while.
Shia alaugh at her little tale, that was quite a tale. That book had its 'bites' to it.
When they reached the bottom Shia gave a grunt as Millie landed on him, when she moved off he simply smirked."You sure know how to deal blow." He said to her faking pain in his eyes."that dumb tree must have gotten mad at me again." He said sitting up, his eyes went over Millie to see the Shack, the winding path up to it layed out in a horrific bend. this place even gives me a shiver [/blockquote]

Millie felt so bad when Shia had grunted when they had fallen. She gave and intake of breath and brushed her eyes over him briefly to make sure he was ok and nothing was bending in a way that it really shouldn't. However, when Shia mentioned that she could take a blow, she made a quick check to make sure everything was where it should be. When she realized she was alright she looked at Shia again nervously. "Well, you took most of the hit. Are you alright?" Millie said, putting her hand on Shia's shoulder.
"I think the tree needs some counseling." She said finally with a sigh. Looking up into the dark tree abyss. Noticing Shia's eyes on her, she looked away for a little bit towards the tunnel. "Where-Where does this go?" Millie asked nervously, putting her hands on her knees and pushing herself up. She looked to Shia, then to the tunnel. Millie gingerly took out her wand and brought it up to waist-height. "Lumos" She muttered and the tunnel was filled with a little bit of light.

Shia sighed lightly rotating his shoulder blades, he felt something shift and a slight pain shot through his shoulder."Ow...yea i am alive..." He admitted.
Shia smirked about the tree. As she got up and lit up her wand, Shia scrambled to his feet ignoring his shoulder. He came up close to her lighting up his own want that he had in his jacket."It leads to the Shrieking Shack," He said softly, in the dark even if Millie had know about Vincent, She wouldn't have seen the abrupt take over. Vincent's teeth glinted of the light, time to have some fun with Shia's new friend.
"Come on..i'll show you." Vincent said softly taking her by her hand carefully. [/blockquote]

"Well, I guess as long as you're alive, yeah?" Millie asked nervously, she knew very little about first aide, and if Shia needed something the best thing she could do was call out for help. Feeling slightly helpless, Millie held out her wand farther attempting to get a glance of the end of the tunnel.
"It leads to the Shrieking Shack," Shia told her softly, and his tone helped Millie feel a little better. At least he knew where they were going. "Alright. As long as you know what you're doing." Millie whispered with a weak smile towards Shia. While in the tunnel, she wondered why such a tunnel was even needed. She might have heard it used in the story about how Harry Potter had saved the Wizarding World at least once. Otherwise, she had no idea why such a tunnel was built.
"Come on..i'll show you." Shia said quite softly while taking her hand. Millie blushed at the feeling of Shia's hand in hers. It didn't feel right. It felt like it was going way to fast, and Millie had a small hope that this was so she wouldn't get lost in the tunnel. Yeah, it's probably that. [/b] Millie thought to herself. "Alright," She said with a weak smile. "Lead the way!"[/blockquote][/size]

[sie=1] Vincent thought innocence was attracted to evil, because everytime he came out the person Shia was with was always trusting and, well innocent. He lead Millie along the tunnel until they came to the first step of the creaking house, one window swung in and out even though there was no wind. Vincent smirked, so this was the Shack huh?
He breathed out and looked behind him."You alright back there?" He asked with a slight grin, this act was killing him, but it be worth it, causing Shia pain after all the problems they went through was leading up to some revenge. [/size][/blockquote]

Millie gave a small gasp when she entered the Shack. It smelled of dried blood and dust. She gave a small sneeze and continued looking around the old shack. Somehow, she found this very, very interesting. Glancing towards Shia and smiled. "Yeah, I'm alright. This doesn't seem so...haunted." Millie commented.
She felt a little uncomfortable, knowing that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had stood here once before, close to his downfall. The thought made her shudder. The place seemed like the perfect hiding place from school or friends. Or to hide someone [/b] Her mind had wandered off again into "worst case scenario" mode. "This place a little...creepy, ain't it?" Millie said with an uncomfortable laugh. [/size][/blockquote]

Vincent smiled, but now it was his usual snake like smile."Certainly is Miss Malone." He broke his hand from her and couldn't help but find this oh so tempting."Tell me, no one has told you all about...me have they? Vincent asked tilting his head. His eyes had darkened back to ovals of black hatred.
He found himself backing her into one of the shacks walls his arm goign above her head."Well let me fill you in..I am not Shia." His eyes narrowed."Looks like that cat trapped the mouse." [/blockquote]

"Tell me, no one has told you all about...me have they?" [/color] "I...no...I've never...why?" Millie said, keeping her grip on her wand strong. The release of her hand brought a little bit of relief. She looked to Shia and squirmed a little under his gaze. This had suddenly turned from what she could call an adventure, to a nightmare. Millie was being backed against a wall, slowly as if she was in a horror movie that she had seen over the summer with her friends. Timidly, she looked Shia- or whoever he was- in the eyes. Dark...black eyes. Millie above her head and saw his hand above her. "Well, then who the hell are you?!" She asked, trying to keep her voice even. This person knew how to play towards her trust issues and fears, and it was truly the single most terrifying thing she could think of. When mentioning being trapped, Millie's eyes narrowed slightly. "W-What are you trying to accomplish, huh?" She said, keeping her eyes on his face and shoulders, in case he reached for his wand. Truthfully, she wanted to say What's the big deal, huh?![/b] but what Millie had really said sounded a bit tougher. [/blockquote][/size]

Vincent ignored her blubbering. And simply smiled."Call me Vincent please." He said in a sick polite way.
Vincent smirked his other hand dropp over the one with her wand, he slipped the wand away from her and tossed into the dark."Pay back!" He said angrily he stepped back and flicked his wand out and the door to the Shack slammed shut and a padlock appeared. He moved away from her pacing his face demented slightly. He looked at her wit ha tilted head and smiled."and you my dear are just the start." [/blockquote]

Her wand was gone. Her only way of having a chance of being safely returned home. Her safety. She tried to remember what she knew of self-defense, and felt a burning hole in her stomach. Even if I get him to the ground, he can hex me. [/b] She was scared. Millie wanted to be home now more than ever, or in bed in the Common Room. "Well...V-Vincent, Millie started, jumping at the large sound that the door shutting and padlocking made. With another drop of heart, she knew the only way out was to get her wand somehow and open the padlock. "Who are you paying back?" She suddenly asked, shivering slightly and trying not to think what Vincent could or might do. There was a small silence. "How are you going to pay him back?" She asked quietly. [/blockquote][/size]
