Every now and then, Shaice would think that everyone had died. Like she had been sucked into one of those scary muggle movies, when no one but her is around, of course leading to disaster for the main character in the movie. This, wasn't true. It was just in general, everyone was studying or sleeping because no one liked to have fun. People seem to be the same, always like, 'Sorry can't talk busy!" Lies, all of them, lies. They just didn't want to talk, because they were, what was the word, boring old farts. Shanice laughed at the comment she made in her head. She actually did this often, laugh at her own jokes, sad.
She quickly moved down the stairs that lead to the Entrance hall, mornings suck. She stopped for a moment checking her robe pockets, wand, check. Always made sure she had that, you never know who is grumpy in the morning these days. Especially Slytherins, they always appeared grumpy in front of everyone. She carried on walking forward, looking down at the ground. Well, she had drifted into her own world, if she was on red alert, she would of seen the ravenclaw boy. She bumped into him looking up quickly no actually aware who she had bumped into. "I am so sorry, i didn't see you there, if i had i would of moved out the way, but i didn't.." right, bit of rambling over nothing but yeah.. Great first impressions, not.

Vincent looked down at the girl who had bumped into him, "Its fine, it was probably my fault."
She was certainly nicer then some of the people he had met, after pacing the hall, for an hour he had gotten bored, with nothin to do, and not much of a talker he just wandered alot, sometimes he ended up in the wrong places, normally that caused issues, but who cares.
Do to her heigth, Shia was afraid he might scare her, which in all terms was alright with him, better to have people fear you, then be all over you. He gave a weak smile, deciding to be kind until he figured out what her motives where.

Shanice hadn't noticed at first, but after looking away for a moment out of embarrassment that she had bumped into someone, she turned her had to look at him. He was very tall, due to this, she took a step back so he didn't appear that tall to her, yet it didn't have much effect actually. Shanice shook her head as he answered her. "No, i was actually staring at he floor to be honest, i wasn't paying attention to the things around me." She replied, then looking around to actually see that there wasn't anybody, or anything around for her to have to pay attention.
Odd really, there normally was a lot of people around, sometimes. She shook the thoughts from her head and looked back at the boy. "Shanice Abercrombie." She said to him extending her hand, she wouldn't be offended if he didn't shake her hand, she was only trying to be polite, but some people were just so, quiet these days. It was hard to find someone like herself that she could be close friends with. Since she was so loud and really could talk!

Vincent shook her hand, her touch was amzingly warm, as his hand dropped back to his side he wondered if she had any friends. She seemed alone, and they were alone in the hall, and she had been staring into space. He concluded she probably didn't have many friends
Which he could already tell she enjoyed talking, which in reality didn't bother him to much, depending on what it was about. She was certainly, different, compared to the Slytherins, and some of the others he had see she was like a ray of sunlight, jsut a bit to bright for his taste, but sense she was beening nice, and she didn't have some motive of destroying him he might as well try to get alone, wouldn't hurt him, or atleast he hoped it wouldn't there would be hell to pay if this was jsut some act to et him to spill he emotions out.
"Well i am here, you can talk to me Shanice." He smiled and did a formal like bow, he was metally kicking himself, but he could adjust to anyone's personality if he had to.

A small smile formed across her face, it was actually nice to bump into someone who wasn't as boring as everyone else in this school, of course she wasn't the type to study, well she did study, just at the last minute. Unlike most people who would study for weeks and get a high grade, unlike her, who would just pass by the skin of her teeth. She was glad that someone offered them self for her to talk too, she didn't get that much. She often got weird stares from others, and when trying to talk to them, she seemed to, loud. "Aww, that's sweet." She replied to what he had said, he hadn't told her his name, but she wasn't going to bring it up again, he might not of wanted to tell her.
Shanice became shocked as she saw him slightly bow, some what of a gentlemen? At hogwarts? No, it couldn't be, nobody had manors at hogwarts, well not many people did. She considered herself polite, she was sure of it. She smiled, something that was perfectly normal for Shanice. She did it a lot. She tapped her foot on the floor and looked at him again. "Ugh, so I'm guessing your in your seventh year?" She asked, if she was wrong, he was rather tall.

"You would be right, oh, and my apologizes, Vincent Shia Lord would be the answer to your last question, but please call me Vincent or Shia." He might have been putting on the mannors a bit to thick, but hey, she seemed to like it, and it made her honestly happy.
For once he thought maybe someone could actually smile in Hogwarts. He wondered though if it was fake, she was goood if it was because he coudn't tell, surely there was somthin that bothered her, but so far she showed no evidence of it, which was amzing.

So she was right to think he was in seventh year, first time she had got anything right. Her mind wondered but only for a minute, this started be a habit of hers, wasn't a good thing. She shook her head, "No worries, Vincent." She nodded letting another smile out. It was hard trying to make a conversation with someone you hardly knew, she had just met him and already felt awkward trying to talk to him. These things were hard, she tossed her head behind her back.
She looked at him, looking at his robes he was in Ravenclaw. She twiddled her thumbs before saying something, "uh, what was you doing down here anyway?" she asked before continuing. "A guy like you must have a girlfriend, or a boyfriend." Things these days had changed some girls dated the same gender just like some boys choice to fall in love with another boy. Of course Shanice decide she would prefer to stay straight, not that she had anything against gays or anything.

Vincent blushed, she knew? He looked away, he didn't expect her to see through him. "Just...wandering...i am alone alot, honestly." He felt ashamed, normally people didn't find stuff out about him until later.
She had seen throuh him, for the first time someone saw him, that was very very bad. He wasn't going to go all chaos on her, but now she had made it a bit ackward for him, not that he wanted to make it obvious but, her outwardily saying it, so bluntly, it kind threw him off a bit.

Shanice looked away not seeing his reaction to what she had said, it was hard to believe that someone didn't have any friends. He must of had one or two, Shanice had a few, mostly they were never around with her any more, so she had to keep her imagination big. She looked at him finally seeing his reaction, to asking him his status. Maybe that was a bit personal for her to ask, or maybe he had react badly to Shanice assuming that he could be gay rather than straight. "Oh no, I'm not saying that your gay or anything, i mean .. its just, you know, people have started turning different ways so you just don't know, if someone is .." She gave up.
She had just realized how much of a fool she had made of herself, thinking of this made her cheeks glow red with embarrassed. "Sorry, i tend to, talk to much.." She said, of course he would of knew that by now anyway, since she had probably pushed more than a lot of words crammed into one.

Vicent looked at her, he wanted to say it was alright don't worry, but she had said the thin he hated to admit, and he couldn't let it o for the life of him, he didn;t want to be looked as a freak, as somthing different, he mentally stabbed himself, she didn't mean it idiot.
"Its okay...you...didn't know." He said softly, he wouldn't meet her eyes, the shame in his face said it all, why why, did this have to happen, he couldn't help if he was different in the ways people couldn't understand. Maybe he should leave, cut of the conversation and go back to his seclusion, that would be nice, but he didn't want to hurt her, god he hated this.

An awkward silence over came them, Shanice scratched the back of her head. She had gained a friend, and probably lost one at the same time, new record. She wasn't sure if she should say sorry again, or if she should just talk about something else. This was quiet difficult. "Umm, you on the qudditch team then ..." She said trying to move on. She wasn't sure what to do, she stood back again. "I am really sorry if i offended you." She said trailing off a bit not sure if she should stay or just leave.

Vin looked at her then, she really was sorry, she hadn't know, she wasn't poking fun. Okay maybe he could forget what she had said, jsut this once.
"Yes, i am Seeker." He answered looking at her finally. "I am sorry if i was upset, its just no one has ever, found out with out me telling them or somthing." He looked away why was he being honest, why was he trusting her, what the hell was wrong with him, he knew better then to trust people, all they did was slice you apart and leave you for dead. Then the darkness came over him, his eyes swirled as he looked at her. Wether he liked it or not he had to get away.
"I have to o now." He turend and didn't look back as he walked away, he need somthing to stab, somthing to burn, somthing....he moved away and went behind a large tree he sat down, pulling upthe sleeve on his left arm he looked at his unmarked pale skin, Pain..he needed pain.

Shanice was thankful that they had started another conversation, at least it wasn't as awkward as before though. She nodded, well now there was something to talk about. "Ah, I'm chaser." She replied, looking at him she nodded. She knew how it felt, to be different, Shanice herself was different to other people, more confidence, and of course more loud. She looked as he walked off, he didn't seem to happy, she wasn't sure what it was about, but she wanted to make sure he was ok.
She followed him outside and stood at the top of the stone steps watching him go sit behind the tree, she walked down and peered behind the tree looking at him as he looked at his arm. She put her hand onto his shoulder and looked at him. "It is ok to be different, that is what makes people, unique." She said trying to be of some help. "If we was all the same, there wouldn't be anything exciting in life," She said before adding something on. "If it makes you feel better, I'm different from some girls." She said.

He looked up at her, she was so kind. He sighed, he had to stop flippin out everytime somthing happend to him perhaps he needed let his heart out, just needed to finally trust someone. He couldn't let things he believed in get in the way of helping someone out either.
Before he realized it teras had started down his face as he looked up at the sky. He slowly choked a one word, "Thanks." He wiped his face with his sleeve, his eyes already bloodshot, he hadn't cried for years, not infront of someone. He felt better, he didn't feel so alone. So useless, such freak.
He slowly stood, tears still rolling down his face. damn. his body was shaking. without a secound thought he hugged Shanice, right there, he didn't care who was around."Thank you...thank you." He didn't feel as tall or scary anymore. He felt like a little puppy, avery lostt one.

In most of her life, she had never seen a boy cry, well that was a rather large lie, she had seen her littler brother cry, mostly when you stole his stuff and left it around, he would get annoyed and scream and cry. Better than qudditch that was actually, she smiled looking at Vincent. Poor boy, she thought in her head. She nodded and moved her hand of his shoulder. He stood, still crying, then out of no where, he hugged her. A smile was planted across her face, she never knew how good it felt to help someone in life. It felt amazing actually, accepting the hug, although he was quite tall, her head wasn't near his shoulder, well it was sort of, possibly a inch taller than his shoulder.
"Your welcome Vincent." She said in a soft voice. "If you ever need someone to talk to or need some sort of advice," she said before adding something on. "I'll always be around for you to talk too." She said still hugging him. She was actually glad to help him.
